	For more casual fans who have no idea what Bound for Glory V is, it is TNA’s flagship pay-per-view of the year; Its Wrestlemania, if you will. The past events have been of a consistently-high quality, and this year...TNA seems to be upping the ante. Anyway, down to business. I can’t hold it in any longer. I have been pondering BFG for months, and I know for a fact that others here have been considering the possibilities themselves. I am not yet rabid enough to laud Bound for Glory as ‘Teh Best Show Evar’, but I will point out the following: Considering that TNA was reportedly planning this card as far back as April, considering the huge step up in quality that both the show and the pay-per-views are experiencing as-of-late, and considering that the official theme song is from an Album named “Out of the Ashes”, things are set to be moderately epic. For the record, if premonitions are not your thing (or if all of the matches are officially announced earlier than expected), this thread counts as the general ‘Bound for Glory’ area-of-discussion. Any thoughts, opinions or expressible-rage-over-decisions-that-don’t-sit-well-with-you can be posted here by all means, besides the theoretical lists suggested by the title. So without further ado, I’m getting this off my chest! Sting vs AJ Styles - World Heavyweight Championship I cannot imagine anything else headlining the event, but then again, I’m an obsessive when it comes to forgettable details Simply put (lest I write an essay), it fits the history of TNA, it fits the storyline of TNA, it fits the goals of TNA. Enjoy The Icon’s swan song, people. Kurt Angle vs Matt Morgan “Why aren’t they building the Lashley-Angle MMA Cage Fight yet? This is most peculiar...” That was me a week ago. I’ve since beaten that prick to a pulp for thinking more about the interests of Bobby-freakin’-Lashley than about the interests of God’s Gift to the Wrestling World. Can you say ‘career maker’? Samoa Joe vs Daniels vs Suicide- X Division Championship- Ultimate X Match Not going to happen in a thousand years, but things have become unpredictable is this here division. Okay, they haven’t, but the obvious Joe/Daniels rematch- though it would be awesome- doesn’t sound ambitious enough to me. So, BRING ON THE SCAFFOLDS! Any Pair of Old Twats vs Motor City Machine Guns- World Tag Team Championship Okay, so things are likely to lean towards a great Beer Money-Team 3D rubber match here, but a man can dream, can’t he? Otherwise, a Number 1 Contendership adrenaline-fest against Lethal Consequences could work Tara vs Awesome Kong- Knockouts Championship I really, really, REALLY want to see ODB in this as well, but alas: I suspect shenanigans at No Surrender that will keep the belt vacant. Ah well- this has enough build up to make up for it. I guess Abyss vs Dr Stevie vs Mick Foley vs Kevin Nash- Monster’s Ball Match Honestly, where do you think this Abyss-Foley friendliness is going to lead? Every fan must have considered this at some point since Foley’s arrival in TNA. It’s like being provided with a Science Fiction Convention, a Detour Sign and a Church of Scientology- you just have to put two and two together to get some quality entertainment Admittedly, Nash has umpteen other things that he could do. There’s a three-way with Scottie and Book, a Title match against the REAL Black Lesnar- he just so happens to be involved in the Abyss storyline at the moment. I’d happily go for a debuting Umaga... Rhino vs Jessie Neal- Hardcore Stipulation Number 34 Match If Neal is as good as a fellow board member suggests, this may not suck as much as it sounds Elite of the World- Unite! A wise, old, Youtube goer once said that the World Elite would be the next big thing when The Main Event Mafia finally curled up in a corner and died. Just in case, I’m calling Young vs Jarrett, MEM vs the British Invasion and Hernandez vs Homicide before anyone else does (that last one’s based off of an elaborate theory I have that may require Hernandez –Briefcase-Cash-In within the next two weeks...Seriously, it’s just a hunch) I’m also expecting a Tag-Title match between Alissa Flash/Hamada and Sarita/Taylor Wilde, a Gauntlet to open the show, and the long-awaited debut of Beef Wellington! Okay, so a lot of this is guesswork, crossed fingers and pure, blind speculation, but that’s what every episode of iMPACT in the build-up is for! Let’s see how things pan out... 	Well your predictions are good. I agree with some of it so here I go Sting vs AJ styles This match would be announced by sting in a impact show telling that he is quitting and leaving wrestling and he wants his final match with AJ styles. It will not fit if one of them had a belt. Just like the match with ric flair and sting when WCW ended. Kurt Angle vs Matt Morgan vs Hernandez (World heavyweight championship) Hernandez would be the champ and matt will win the match. Thats what I predict.( Hernandez wins the belt by cashing in he briefcase like in a opportunist moment. X division championship Joe wins from daniels in No Surrender. And a match is made Joe VS Daniels VS Suicide VS The PoPe . This would be awesome. And Joe still wins it. Later that night he, taz and kevin will back stab kurt letting Matt Morgan win. TNA TAG In No surrender ,the relationship with booker and stiener will get worsen and they will part ways. So MEM becomes weak. Thats what I predict for now. TARA VS AWESOME KONG = EPIC WIN The title says it all Monsters Ball I agree with that. That would be one great match. If this is going to happen I am sure this will be the awesomest match in the whole PPV. Then jesse gives rhino one big fat GORE GORE GORE. Then the Rhino vs Jesse Neal match start to appear. Then the finishing touch to the masterpiece is when Jesse proves Rhino he can become the best. 	Two weeks and some interesting developments later, we are on the cusp of No Surrender, which is looking surprisingly decent for an ordinary show by the way. Ironic that it has such a submission-orientated name, and yet none of the dire slowness, Submissions Count Anywhere matches (what the hell?) or pathetic de-ja-vu mechanisms that plague certain other such pay-per-views. Oh, aren’t I snide. Pointless jabs aside, lets see how things are shaping up for Bound For Glory! The two feuds that will likely headline have been built nicely. That ‘he’s ma mentor’ promo backstage between AJ and Sting adds even more to the intrigue surrounding their inevitable Main Event Match. Rex’s theory concerning the relevance of the title has some weight, but I’m indebted to this idea now, so tonight I predict that either AJ wins and defends against a Sting who wants him to ‘prove his worth’ as the next big thing, or Sting wins and has to quite literally pass the torch to AJ. And then there’s the Morgan-Angle match. Damn, has this been built well. I have always loved Morgan with constant intensity- maybe because I only see him in terms of potential rather than ability- but even I have to admit that he has improved drastically in recent weeks. Or maybe that’s just the adrenaline rush from last week’s Hellevator still pumping away...At any rate, I daresay that Angle will be too preoccupied with him to retain. This will cause further tension, culminating in their long-awaited one-on-one match. We may even see Matt lay out the rest of MEM one by one, ala a pre-Slammiversary Samoa Joe I’ve heard some complaints regarding to the Tag Team Lethal Lockdown match on later. Apparently it should have been reserved for BFG. I disagree. We had a 4-team gimmick-heavy hoedown last year and- while it was truly, truly epic- a mono e mono affair just seems a lot more suitable. Since I am now pretty much committed to the idea of a Beer Money/Team 3D Tables Here There & Everywhere Match, I really need a pretty specific scenario to unfold. How about this: During the match tonight, Steiner Heat and the Brits have another royal miscommunication, which turns violent and leads to, say, Steiner getting pinned by Roode. Driven by this momentum, Beer Money get a title shot on the next iMPACT!, which they obviously win (probably due to Invasion interference). Team 3D is quick to remind them that they never really saw their rematch clause fulfilled two months ago, and that the two teams are tied one a piece with wins on the 3rd and 2nd biggest shows of the year. In an epic final act to the feud, they have the aforementioned Plywood Galore matchup, while MEM get even with the British Invasion (thus passing the ‘dominant heel stable’ torch to World Elite) further down the line. Either that or Beer Money directly fight Steiner and Booker. As long as the latter actually use their repertoire of classic team moves this time, that could work too I’m really into that Ultimate X idea now. It’s an impossible-to-miss opportunity. This is after all BFG’s emergence into the 5s, and the X is their flagship match. I acknowledge Rex’s idea of a four-way, but that doesn’t fly with me. It is likely just me, but D’Angelo D’e...Elijah Burke seems too new a talent to stand toe to toe with Daniels and Joe (I made a rhymey! ). Plus, anything above a three-way tends to become a bit of a fustercluck. Just look back to this year’s Destination X... Anyway, I suspect that Suicide will win the chance to be the third man by beating Burke, or something along those lines. As for who will take the gold at No Surrender, No Idea. It’d be nice if Joe’s reign lasted longer than one month. Even nicer if Daniels proves that 3 time’s the charm by becoming the first Asylum winner to win the ensuing Championship match! TNA can make one of two choices: They can make de stoopid choice, listen to the Purists (SCUUUUUUUM!) and have the Knockout’s Title match end in a no contest. Or, they can make the Exceedingly Intellectual choice, listen to the uncontrollable ‘O-D-B! O-D-B! O-D-B!’ chants that fill every venue, and keep the belt on One Dirty Bitch. Not that it matters. Either way, BFG will definitely have Tara and Awesome Kong in the ring together, and The Deaner will never be seen in the Women’s Division again. A pity...his ‘King of the Knockouts’ skits were hilarious. I ed the Lumber-Jill beatdown. Ah well; at least we’ll be seeing him in the X Division sooner rather than later! YeeeeeeeeeeeHoooo! G’iver! Mick Foley gave Abyss evils on iMPACT? Really!? Didn’t see that coming. I’m slightly more convinced of Nash’s place in the Monster’s Ball now that I’ve had a chance to think things over. Rhino, EY, maybe even Deaner have the opportunity to take up the Bounty Challenge come BFG, but Kevin has storyline connections to all 3 other potential participants. He has that ongoing feud with Mick, has been after Abyss all month, and is Stevie’s hired gun. Plus, he’s Big. And Sexy. I’m split as to what will happen tonight. I’d like Abyss to be Legends Champion, but since I’m sure that we’ll see a feud with Foley very soon, that would inevitably lead to the belt being bounced between either party like a diamond-encrusted ping pong ball. What is this, the WWE title scene OH SNAP!!! As such, I’m gonna go with a disqualification, a countout, or a pinfall victory for Nash that doesn’t necessarily include the ‘Career Ending’ thing that his contract with the good Doctor covers. This would set up for him taking another shot at the $50,000 next month. Oh, and Mick Foley will make a run-in. Don’t ask me who it will be in favour of though. Abyss is sht scared of him for a reason: He’s Gawd-dang cwazy! I never saw LAX’s apparently amazing heel run, but in my eyes that still doesn’t justify their astounding popularity. Just last week, After Homicide’s heel turn, I actually saw a suggestion that they be in the Tag Team Title Match at BFG! Just let it go people! LAX is dead! Like every popular tag team, we’ll see them kiss, make up and return in the future, but for the time being just let them move on up the card to bigger and better things! Again, I really like Rex’s idea- every episode of iMPACT! since Slammiversary has been an agonising disappointment for me, because I keep predicting a Hernandez title-shot cash-in and always come up short! Alas, it really looks like their building for the usual Friends Turned Enemies match. Then again, considering that one is a former ROH World Champion, and that the other is FREAKING SUPERMEX, I really don’t mind all that much. I expect them to pull a carbon copy of Hardy vs Hardy from earlier this year: Lesser half of popular tag team hits greater half of popular tag team with chair (already happened). Lesser half beats greater half at flagship pay-per-view. Greater half beats lesser half in rematch at pay-per-view after flagship pay-per-view. Greater half goes on to challenge World Heavyweight Champion at pay-per-view after pay-per-view after flagship pay-per-view. And so on. Of course, this elaborate fantasy makes the Hernandez-Eric Young match tonight a tad awkward. You cannot rightly have Mr SuperPush lose on two consecutive pay-per-views, but you cannot make the leader of your next dominant heel stable look like a little btch. Hence, I’ll go for a DQ. Hernandez wins, and World Elite all get to beat on the token Mexican. When will ethnic violence end? I’m not holding my breath, but I’d like to see the Knockout Tag Team Titles represented. Why else would TNA put together the tournament on the penultimate pay-per-view, unless they wanted the first big, official defence to be at BFG? Should the planets align and the impossible be made possible, I have three challengers for SariTaylor in mind (Yeah, as if they’re not taking those belts home at No Surrender): The Beautiful People- provided that Angelina can get her visa issues sorted as to make a surprise return- Alissa Flash and a partner of her choosing- that she might put an end to this rivalry with Sarita- and Daffney & MsChif- because when the concept of Women’s Tag Titles first crept into my mind earlier this year, I didn’t expect them until next BFG, which would have given TNA a whole lot more time to organise a reunion of the Scream Queens. In other words, it’s pure, blind hope, okay? Oh, I almost forgot that Rhino-Lashley-Neal thing. It’s not that I resent any of the trio. All three are utter beasts in ring. But judging from the fact that I have already listed 8 far more interesting matches for what I assume will be a 3 hour fest, I cannot see anything involving these three men coming to fruition. Maybe that’s why Lashley’s on the No Surrender poster- he’s not been around long enough to warrant a match- or the necessary build up to a match- on the Big One, so their making up for it by hyping his other appearances through the roof. Meanwhile, although a Rhino-Neal feud would be fun, it seems like the kind of thing that would be reserved for Turning Point onwards. At any rate, I’m not discounting anything, but I damn sure not praying for it either. I don’t think that it needs saying who will win the match later tonight. 	Cripes. This is turning into more of a blog than a discussion. Feel free to share your thoughts, people! Anyway, the penultimate pay-per-view has come and gone. There were many great matches, some interesting developments, and of course the crowning of a new champion. Specifically... ODB IS KNOCKOUT’S CHAMPION!!! ODB IS KNOCKOUT’S CHAMPION!!! ODB IS KNOCKOUT’S CHAMPION!!! ODB VS TARA VS KONG FOR BFG!!! YEEEEAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and AJ Styles won a shiny new belt as well. Yay. Good for him. Thoughts on the event: Dammit all! I finally accept the fact that Hernandez is not going to cash in that title shot anytime soon, and what happens?! He finally cashes in! Arghh! I’m still seeing a brawl with Homicide coming in my crystal ball, but considering the fist fight he had with Angle, I am really liking Rex’s idea of a three-way: Morgan, Angle and Hernandez. Yum. The X Division is heating up. I was pleasantly surprised by the Falls Count Anywhere Match between The Pope and Suicide, and it was nice to see the new guy get a pay-per-view victory. This feud may continue on to BFG, but it’s not likely. Tonight, Pope and ‘Cide are having a Street Fight. To me, this is proof that they’re going to settle things over the next few iMPACT!s (where Suicide regains his cred with a win or two), with the last man standing going on to a title match, which is now even more likely to be an Ultimate X Match! Joe retained! Is Daniels won, why the hell would Two-Ton Joe want a rematch among the scaffolds? If Daniels, Suicide or both challenge him, they are likely to opt for a match-type that they would both be favourites in. The Legends Title match ended absolutely perfectly. Kevin Nash gets to keep the belt for one more month! Stevie actually called him out on not being brutal enough! Nash Jacknifed him and stole his gym bag full of monies! Nash now has every reason to receive an invite to the Ball next month, which not only adds another pissed-off big man to the fight, but frees up the space that would be taken by a Legends Title match. Can’t wait to see what Foley’s planning during the tag match tonight... Well, seeing as MEM are fighting Mick Foley and Abyss tonight for the tag-team straps out-of-the-blue, it doesn’t look like the scenario I dreamt up in my last post will come to fruition. If that’s the case, I have thought up three other options off of the top of my head: One, MEM fight the British Invasion. Their rivalry heats up, the torch passing comes a lot earlier than expected, and another young, original, villainous team get to hold gold. Two, the Tables match stands, only it’s another four way. Maybe elimination based. This allows all four teams to get on the card, and would really be an epic finale to the war. And three, MEM fights the Motor City Machine Guns. I’m obsessive, I know, I know... but with the four party square-dance of the last three months effectively resolved as of Sunday (in a freakin’ cage no less!), this could be the perfect opportunity for the Guns- completely out of the blue- to get their arses out from behind that desk, attack Scottie and Book in one of their matches, and proclaim to the world that they’re sick of being left out, and that now is their time. Or maybe - just maybe - Steiner Heat will face these two: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEwh0KUnNro Before I close, I would like to speak a few words concerning the whole ODB-Deaner thing of the last month. I have made it quite clear that I loved this feud (what can I say- rednecks are funny!), but too many ‘fans’ have taken it to be a personal attack on them, their parents, their friends and their pets judging by how vehement reactions have been. I see with the utmost clarity what TNA have tried to accomplish with this, and so feel obliged to give naysayers an alternative outlook on the matter, if only to protect the integrity of my beloved ODB! To relay the basic point, I need only say two words: Taylor Wilde. Taylor Wilde was the last face to hold the Knockout’s Championship, and yet- frankly- nobody really cares. Now, Taylor is a great wrestler, I’m not debating that. Plus, she’s pretty perky to boot. The reason that her title reign was so forgettable is that, well, it was generic. Average. Unspectacular. Taylor has no definitive gimmick, and so came across as very run-of-the-mill for a women’s title holder. Other champions have used their reign as an extension of their usual personality. Kong ploughed through challengers like the human bulldozer that she is regardless, Angelina resorted to cheating against opponents that were all clearly better athletes than her despite all of her classic heel bragging, and Gail Kim surpassed impossible odds every month simply due to the fact that she was Gail freakin’ Kim. People often cite wrestling-ability as the main difference between the Knockouts and the Divas, which is not necessarily the case. After all, Beth Phoenix, Michelle McCool and Mickie James are all apparently good in-ring. The main issue is individualism. The Divas are carbon copies. Put them all in a ring together and you will have a heap of trouble should you try to tell them apart. The Knockouts, on the other hand, are as varied as any men’s division. They have unique personalities, and these carry over to their appearance, mannerisms and, most importantly, angles. What is ODB’s redeeming feature? Well...she’s outrageous. That’s what we’re being given. An outrageous roller-coaster ride. Considering how unique her gimmick is, did anybody honestly expect her to be a conformist when she finally got her hands on that belt? Hell No! Her time in the lime-light would have to be the most memorable of all, ‘cause that’s just the kind of person she is! Both matches at Hard Justice and No Surrender were classic examples of ODB humour, and you know what: they were fantastic for it. What’s more, she actually beat a man! ODB’s so tough, she pummelled a redneck! That’s the kind of over-the-top claim that can get a person more over than Taylor Wilde ever was. I suppose that it’s a matter of TNA thinking that the Knockouts were popular enough again to get away with such a bold move. Obviously, the fans didn’t feel the same way. Now I can only hope that, in the inevitable three way in a month, she can keep that belt. Maybe Kong will Awesome Bomb Tara, only to get screwed over by Saeed, letting ODB steal the pin (ODB retains and we get to see a Flash vs Kong programme- two birds with one stone!). Now that she finally has that strap, I want to see her potential as champion milked for all it’s worth. What would we see at Turning Point? A Mud Wrestling Match against Tara? And at Final Resolution? A Beer Drinking Contest with Kong? Maybe Genesis will host an All-Knockout Bar Room Brawl for the Title! Only time will tell... Also, Congrats to AJ Styles for his Win. 	My predictions: AJ vs Sting "the torch pass" Angle vs Matt Morgan "the Morgan Push match" Tara vs Kong vs possibly ODB (for Knockout belt somehow) Abyss vs Foley Hernandez vs Homocide Sarita/Wilde vs New Beautiful People (Velvet and Lacey Von Erick) Some kind of World tag team match with 3d/Beer Money/BI/Steiner/Booker that are my give mes but here's where it gets interesting... 1) Joe vs Dinero vs Daniels vs Suicide in UX match (possibly we see suicide become Kaz again? or does joe fight Lashley? 2) Lashly vs Kevin Nash this seems likely in my book, who else would lashly fight heel wise with a big enough name? 3)Why do they keep pushing Devon vs Rhyno is seems? maybe and ecw theme here somehow... devon/bubba/neal for rhyno and suprise people from ecw? 4)Ken Anderson makes his debut somehow...or even Umaga(a stretch) 5)does MCM guns get shut out of another pay per view? I'm expecting a push for them considering they've never held the belts sooner or later 6)World elite needs some kind of big push here, more than just interference during hernandez/homocide match. 7)There has to be a match showcasing all the other Knockouts..some kind of battleroyal...look for possibly Alissa Flash to finally get her due.. 8)Maybe a huge number one contender for x-division using ux match...with guns/lethal consequences/ bashir/kyoshi/amazing red/deaner(maybe)/sharkboy/and stevie. 	I enjoyed your part about ODB..and feel the same way...we love her because she's f'n crazy...and that is what seperates the knockouts from the divas...individuality. We all know we are going to get something different from each ko...unlike all but 3 divas. That is why the ko brand is so popular with fans and carries tna week in a week out! 	Yeah BlackLesner, This is kind of a blog now hehe. Well, I read your opinions and I wanted to write mine about no surrender and other stuff. I know the PPV was last week , but I watched it today so here I go. NO SURRENDER 1-Taylor/Sarita vs TBP This match was great. The decision to make sarita/Taylor the champs was a good idea as most of the fans wanted that to happen. Their in ring chemistry is shocking as they became a tag team like a few weeks ago. I am sure that the TBP and S/T feud will not end. Maybe this week something cool would come up. 2-EY vs Hernandez This was just a match. It was a great fill. Due to this I feel that these two will battle on BFG. 3-Joe vs Daniels As predicted Joe is the winner. I believe it would be a lengthy title reign for him. 4-Pope vs Suicidey This match had some great moments. Suicide is all Mr.Unpredictable . He has been unpredictable since his debut. Nice match. I remember pope saying "Now he wants title gold" or something. 5-ODB vs Deaner ODB won. She was awesome in the match. This fued is officially over.(I THINK) 6-ABYSS vs Nash I thought this match would have alot of violence. Well it did not much , but it was ok as daffney got black hole slammed and abyss got a quite painful shock treatment (IF THAT WAS REAL THAT WOULD REALLY HURT). Ok match. 7-SIX SIDES OF STEEL TAG MATCH These guys matches are getting good day by day. 3d/BI/BM and MEM is simply awesome. The rob terry chair shot by Ray was sick. Locking them in a cage was the only way we would settle the riots past few weeks. 8-Boss vs Rhyno The things I predicted did not happen. Well still there is chance. This match was OK. The Boss did not do anything special in this match (MY OPINION). 9-MAIN EVENT AJ deserved it. Yay, Hernandez finally cashed in the case. This was a nice match. Now we know Matt is not a idiot. Beginning of the match Matt teaming up with Kurt showed him as a idiot. Then in the end he back stabbed angle. CONCLUSION The PPV gets a 4/5 stars from me and the whole PPV was a story building kind of PPV. The PPV showed Super Max is a Monster and his targets only to Maximum Impact and Pin. No fooling around EY may have not fought hernandez ,but BFG he will if he gets a chance. Sting does not want to burn AJ's hands with his torch (KURT SAID THAT) Dr stevie vs Nash will happen. ODB vs Tara vs Kong in BFG = SUPER EPIC WIN And other things I might have forgot. EXTRA I think Teaming up Jethro and Deaner could be a good thing. Like a promo could go like this Deaner is hopeless in the locker room* Jethro comes in and he sees deaner Jethro and deaner talks like hill billies and Jethro promises deaner to train him Then deaner surprisingly starts to get better (NOT AS MUCH TIME TAKEN TO JESSE NEAL) *I will write another post two days before BFG or just one day before BFG. I read spoilers and I know other matches that could come up so I dont want to spoil others. Then again, there is a No. 1 Contendership ladder match next week, and Daniels, Pope and Suicide are all absent. With all of the favourites apparently out of the short-term title picture, it is very possible that we’ll get a title match in the next two weeks and Lashley vs Joe in a sort of exhibition match at BFG (because I sure can’t think of anything better for Bobby to do). If, however, Lashley is fighting anyone on the show, it will definitely not be Kevin Nash. He has been perfectly worked into the Monster’s Ball, which I strongly believe to be- as it is every year- a four way. Nash and Foley hate each other. Abyss and Stevie hate each other. Abyss and Nash hate each other. Stevie and Nash hate each other, and now we can confirm that Foley and Abyss hate each other. If only it turned out that Dr Stevie destroyed Mick’s picture; that’s the only loose end. Foley and Stevie hating each other. I am ashamed at myself for not sooner acknowledging this blatant Eee See Dub feud that is being built. The signs have all been there for a while. I guess that I just wasn’t interested enough to begin with to consider it. Anyway, I’d be happy to shift my tables match theory to this here scuffle instead. A six-man hardcore tag sounds pretty decent. Lashley may find himself shoe-horned in (seeing as Rhino’s his b*tch), Beer Money could make a surprise appearance, and- as you suggested- a whole plethora of ECW stars may show up on Rhino’s side. There’s Sabu, Douglas, Raven (returning for the umpteenth time), plus TNA have reportedly been in talks with RVD for quite a while... Both Aumaga and MIIIIIIIIISTER AAAAAAAAAAANDERSON are busy preparing for the Hulkamaina Tour right about now. Maybe we’ll see them come on over in 2010. MCMG should get the belts in the long run, and I have already come up with a scenario or two, but frankly, I’d rather see the current Tag Team feuds run their course first. Better for Sabin & Shelley to start off the new wrestling year with a bang than to meander around the end of the old with a splutter. Of course World Elite will be getting a push...They’re going to be the next big thing! Of course, were there an extra hour on the clock, as is the case with Wrestlemania, it would be another story. Anyway, although I absolutely love the idea of an X-Division Gauntlet to open the show (minus Dr Stevie- he is not X Division material and is set for an invite to the Monster’s Ball anyway), I don’t think the Knockout all-out brawl is really necessary. Having said that, I wouldn’t mind a four-corners match for the Knockout Tag Team Titles. It’s just the emotional, light-filtered, ‘I’ll always be your Brother’ montage that’s been plastered everywhere ever since Homicide’s turn. Both matches sound good, but I daresay that the latter just sounds more worthy of BFG. Maybe Hernandez vs Young will seem to get built up, only for Young to suddenly announce Homicide as his true opponent. But that’s just speculation. As I said above, Joe vs Daniels vs Suicide Ultimate X appears to have been kicked square in the teeth by the ladder match next week. Things may change in the next three weeks, but I’m not holding my breath. However, the man who I originally wanted to be in the BFG X-title match in one of my day-dreams from some months ago is one of the 5 hopefuls- Amazing Red. He would be able to put on such a fantastic match with Joe...plus, he’s an original, so it would cause quite a few flashbacks to the Golden Age of the X Division. It is really a pity that Suicide may not be on the BFG card thought. I freaking love this character. Like you said, he’s unpredictable. Not only that, but his combination of mystique, innovation and huuuge monthly spots have gotten him pretty over with the crowd (when he’s not fighting Pope, at least). He’s the kind of X Division star that TNA should be pushing in a programme with the likes of Daniels and Joe, so that he can crawl up the ranks and score a World Title Match next year, after which he finally unmasks. Okay, so that last bit was another one of my obsessive fan-fics, but the other points all still stand. TNA really overhyped the Lashley-Rhino match, but it could have been a lot worse. Lashley’s still a good worker at any rate (I mean, the start of the match was intense, and his iMPACT! debut against Jethro Holiday was pretty good); he just needs the right opponent. That is kind of why I can’t think of a BFG match for him- the best opponents (like Joe) will all be taken! A Jethro Holiday/Cody Deaner Team-Up? It sounds nice, but the very fact that it is Jethro Holiday that we are talking about makes it very unlikely. He was brought in via the Team 3D Invitational Tag team Tournament because he was meant to be part of a new tag team- specifically, the reunion of Trevor Murdoch & Lance Cade from the WWE. However, Cade has prior commitments in Japan, or something, so his debut has been delayed by a few months. I'd love to see a joe/lashley too, but doubt it'll happen. Seems as if they are starting out slow with lashley, so maybe he won't even have a match, just a role at BFG. Maybe he'll cost Kurt Angle his match or something like that. Maybe the ECW thing will happen too, where he's in some kinda big 3 on 3 match or something. Who knows..it'll be interesting to see how he is used. I think you're righ though, no chance of him fighting nash, it just made sense to me was all if they were going to give a high caliber one on one match other than joe. I do believe you are right about the Monster's ball..and would like to see it. The only thing is though..I think it'd bill better if they just used abyss vs foley instead of a 4-way. A 4-way would be nice...but I think TNA uses to many 4 way/ 3 way matches. They barely ever have just a one on one championship matches for anything anymore. Luckily BFG already has a couple nice one on ones' though. I just think all the 3 way/4 way matches makes the brand seem like just two wrestlers in a championship match couldn't sell or something, which definitely is not the case. It's interested as you said about the x-division #1 contender spot this week on impact, especially not having daniels or suicide in it. I think TNA will try and get as many people on the pay per view as possible, that's why I look for A knockout battle royal of types and an X-divison one also. I would love to see Amazing red get more face time on the show. His moves are refreshing and always gets a big pop from the audience. I like the idea of Kaz going after the championship down the road and taking the mask off. I'd like to see someone "Cross The Line" at BFG..I didn't know about the Hulkamania tour. That sux. I was looking forward to Mr. Anderson! Everyone says Tna needs one more name...like a Hogan..but I think a "RVD" would bring alot of viewship too, or even some independent wrestling big names like some of the ROH guys like Nigel McGuiness, Tyler Black, the Briscoes and tons of others or or AAA guys like Teddy Hart/Jack Evans ..(yes I know they have been in TNA before, but they are more famous now because of Wrestling Society X and they make AJ Styles look like Cody Deaner(I like AJ don't get me wrong, but they do) or even the crazy faction The Psycho Circus. TNA needs to start going after these guys before WWE picks them all up because TNA will make them all stars..not just a few. 	Well, TNA truly are taking BFG matters seriously, aren’t they? Whereas the promotional team is usually content to wait until the last conceivable second before announcing a PPV card, we are only two weeks into the build up and yet are more-or-less set in terms of the final line-up! A whopping 8 matches have basically been revealed- official or otherwise! They sure want to put all of their cards on the table pretty sharp-ish in preparation for what Dixie Carter calls “The biggest event in TNA’s history”! So without further ado: AJ Styles vs Sting – World Heavyweight Championship Match - The Final Curtain Call The interview format gives the build up to this match some depth. It is being given the kind of ‘battle of words & wits’ treatment that one would expect from some huge MMA or boxing rivalry. You know... the respectable contact sports! Morgan vs Angle - Wrestling's Best vs Wrestling's Future Anybody else noticed how Morgan’s promos have gone from super energetic feel-good comedy skits (meant in a good way ) to ‘I’m going to stick my boot so far up your ass that you will choke on your stomach’? I’m loving the new Closet-Serial-Killer Morgan. Mick Foley vs Abyss - Hardcore Extreme I am willing to let so many theories of mine slide, but I was soooooo sure of a 4-way Monster’s Ball this year. I mean, come on! Abyss always fights a Monster’s Ball at BFG! Monster’s Balls always involve 4 people! There are two other wrestlers that have every reason to settle scores with these two! It was a way to slide the Legends title into the show without wasting precious card space! Besides, I would rather have seen a chaotic four way that settles all current feuds (e.g. Stevie vs Abyss) now, and some brutal one-on-one fares between Cactus and the Monster from next month onwards! I can only hope that some changes are made in the next two weeks. Then again, this is Foley vs Abyss that we’re talking about. Maybe I should just ease up and let that realisation sink in... Samoa Joe vs Bobby Lashley - MMA vs TNA Holy Mother of Jehoshaphat! Kyller called it! Good show, sir! The more I thought about this as a possible match, the more I adored the idea. Not only do they have a history, not only are they both intense beasts in the ring, but they are both very MMA influenced in their styles! Remember Joe’s last high-profile MMA-style match? Vs Angle @ freakin’ Lockdown 2008! This match has so much potential that I have been trying to ignore it: I didn’t want to get my heart broken if things didn’t pan out! I can only hope that The X Division title gets in on this. Remember, “It’s about No Limits, not Size Limits”. And Bobby’s aggressive style is all about no limits! What’s more, such a high-profile match between such perfect opponents can only elevate the title’s worth! Sarita & Taylor Wilde vs The Beautiful People - Knockout Tag Team Championship Match I’d prefer a four corners match to expose more talent, but whatever. I can take some solace in the hope that this Von Elrich character likely won’t be wrestling. Don’t get me wrong- she is far, FAR sexier than Angelina Love, but judging from her background, her debut and her already-faltering backstage reputation, I have realised which Knockout she most reminds me of: Rhaka Khan. And at the Biggest Show of the year...DO NOT WANT! Pope vs Suicide vs Daniels vs Homicide - Ultimate X Match for Number 1 Contendership of the X Division Championship Well, this is a pleasant surprise. This is the exact insane spotfest that everybody who has thus far commented on this thread has predicted, only minus Joe: the tubby one who would only slow the action down anyway. Seriously though, this one is making my mouth water. See? Wait a second: Homicide won't be battling Hernandez?! Rar! BlackLesnar Smash! ODB vs Tara vs Kong – Knockout’s Championshp Match Not officially announced yet, but honestly- does it really need to be? ODB’s brawl with Kong on Thursday is a shining example of the unique wild-card factor that The Bitch will bring to this match. Ladder Match – TNA Tag Team Championship Match So, it’s not exactly the ‘The Stadium’s Alive with the sound of Tables’ match that I was expecting, but- for those of your that missed it- Mike Tenay mentioned a ‘Ladder Match at Bound for Glory’ to Beer Money during the Main Event last Thursday. Could we be seeing a repeat of Wrestlemania 17? I damn sure hope so! This does however leave the question of what (if anything) Rhino, Hernandez, EY and whoever will be Legends Champion at the time will be doing. 	Well, this week shed some more light on things. Like BlackLesnar said, we pretty much now most of the matches already..which is a good thing in my opinion. This is what we know: Sting vs Aj: Pass the torch match, even though Sting supposedly has signed on for another 6 months and says 2010 will be his farewell tour. Angle vs Morgan: This will be the match that makes Morgan a house hold name in the wrestling business. Joe vs Lashly: I called this one. (thanks BlackLesnar for the praise) It only made sense that lashly fight a big name heel at BFG, so that only gave either Nash or Joe in my opinion because everyone else already is pretty much in a match. This could be huge for TNA if it's played out right. I think joe wins though. They shouldn't push Lashly too much off the bat, it makes the guys who have been busting their ass for spotlight become disgruntled. Make this a long feud Tna, it'll be worth your while. Tara vs Kong vs ODB: This will be a good match but I look for Awesome Kong and Riesha( aka Alyssa Flash) to be a storyline here. Maybe she'll finally take off that mask and show who she is, and cause Kong the match because it's "Her time to shine". This would be perfect timing considering the rant she went on two weeks ago on Hamada. Make it happen TNA. Tag Titles: Hopefully there is a ladder match of types, or a tlc type of match. Either way, it's time for Steiner and Booker to loose the titles. I look for MCM to interfere somehow and begin their rightful push for the belts(unless they end up fighting for the x division belt somehow which I hope they don't, their due for the belts) and they've been getting that slow push as of late anyway. X-Division- this is up in the air I think. Not quite sure who's gonna all end up in this match but I know it'll at least be daniels, the pope, and Suicide. It'd be nice if the match was a ultimate x match or even an elevation x match nonetheless. Possibly will see Homocide in this match and maybe a few others before it's over with, only time will tell. Knockouts Tag- Don't be suprised if the TBP win. It'll give instant credibility to Lacey Von Erick especially if she's the one that wins the belts for them(mainly because she's not that polished as a wrestler yet, but with TBP winning, it doesn't make it look like a squash match which it would be otherwise. Mick vs Foley: if this ends up just a one on one blood bath, i'll be happy. If a montersball match ends up being the final result with Nash and Stevie added, I'm good with that too. Either way, should be a interesting match. Other notable things: 1) Hernandez has to have some kinda of big push match at BFG, even if it's only against Homicide or EY(people he's already beat). On the flip side though, World Elite needs a big push too for them to become the new "it" faction, so this will be interesting to see how things pan out. Maybe a new member even, maybe Kip James since he has nothing else. 2) Don't be suprised if Bobby Lashly cost Samoa Joe the belt against Amazing red this week(it makes sense) this would add fuel to the fire. 3)If Nash/Stevie aren't in the match with Foley/Abyss, then they will probably fight against each other for the belt. Maybe we'll see Nash's new valet(is this the pay per view when they are suppose to come out?) If so, don't be surprised if WWE Candice Michelle helps him in the win to retain. 4)There's gotta be some kind of push for Alyssa Flash based on the segment from the other day, I think she's gonna has some big influence at BFG either costing Kong the belt as RS or coming out as Flash and costing her or someone else the belt. Her time for a push is now. 5) I look for some kinda match for the rest of the Knockouts who aren't included, giving a push for hamada somehow also, TNA usually tries to get everyone in TNA on the BFG card. 6)Same goes for the rest of the wrestlers in tna, somehow lethal consequences, bashir and kyoshi, deaner and outlaw, rhino, jesse neal,and even sharkboy to get in on some kinda of match or make apperance somehow. 7) If Hernandez fights EY in somesorts, I have a feeling maybe Jeff Jarrett makes his return either helping hernandez win, or help fight off world elite or something. What bigger stage for him to return, especially considering he and EY was suppose to fight in the first place until JJ left the scene. 8)Finally, I still look for something BIG to happen, either a big heel turn, a new wrestler crosses the line (Mr. Anderson maybe or even the Hulkster(going way out on limb on that one). Dixie keeps saying this is the biggest and best pay per view ever and look for big surprises...so I have a feeling, something will happen that not many of us expect(unless it gets leaked somehow). The other three main event matches don't necessarily require the attention: Angle vs Morgan has been brewing under the surface since Sacrifice, Sting vs AJ has basically been built throughout the entirety of the past year (be it though very subtle means), and Joe vs Lashely is an MMA stye match, so nobody expects them to bother with any promos or story structure: Just get into that ring and hurt one another! Abyss vs Foley, however, has been a dream bout ever since the Abyss character made his debut, and the mutual hatred came about pretty recently. This match deserves all of the attetion that TNA is lavishing it with. On a side note, I forsee Foley winning the hardcore match (for once), feuding with Abyss for another 1 to 2 months, and ending it all in the third ever Barbed Wire Massacre Match. Maybe we'll even eventually see The Monster don the black again... While here, I might as well throw the possibility of a last-minute Lethal-Red match onto the metaphorical BFG table. I'm happy for Red's win an' all, but leaving the X Divsion Title off of the card feels slightly odd.
