1. barbedwire massacre match

2. every gimmick match tna has ever had

3. legends ( doesn't have to be from tna, just people not under wwe contract right now

4. international talent, from mexico and japan such as the great muta and la park.

5. a more rpg like career mode

6. biowares good bad dark/light side system from knights of the old republic for face/heel turns that are gradual, plus you can also have instant turns.

7 and endless story. don't keep it linear and fully set to script, let the story be able to change in the game over time. season modes suck, because its so limited, but taking the storyline idea and rpg type idea with sports world, and make it fully unlimited. making tna the ultimate sandbox game.

9 online leagues, wrestling promotions. sort of an mmo type online world (non monthly fee of course, just buy upgrades)

10. take the fire pro wrestling and aki no mercy 64 grappling systems, but make them a little more user friendly, but go sim type play. have arcade mode as an option for people who for some ungodly reason like wwe smackdown game play.

11. multiple fighting styles (like fire pro wrestling has)

amature wrestling styles (freelance greco roman)
boxing
mma
brawler
american pro wrestling
puro japanese strong style
european style
mexican lucha
american high flyer
japnese high flyer
martial arts
technical wrestler
sumo
kickboxing
x division style which is more of a combo of highflyers but can include bigmen who can fly.
hardcore : weapons based brawlers

extreme, like hardcore but mixed with xdivsion style to an extent, pretty much no limits nor care for own well beaing. think SABU


12. create a wrestler . all wrestlers can be ai controlled for career mode, allow unlimited (as many as your hard drive or memory card can hold)

i likedd your first 4 ideas. the rpg thing don't like. once again this is being made by midway not bioware. the light dark thing where if you do something changes your status grdully may be a good idea but i don't see it working in the game. as for your storyline thing, good idea, however we are years before the AI in a video game can chang its story. we don't need an online leauge just standard online play. why not just have them create there own grappling system. and considering that they have different wrestlers in the game they obviousely have different styles

by rpg like i meant relationships, acheivments, fanbase win loss record meaning something etc

i mean all modern wrestling games are adding rpg like style to them, but midway should evolve and go further (not talking rpgs like bioware or obvlian or final fantasy ) i dont like rpg games , but i like some of the ideas. not saying crap like ep and stuff.

just ways to evolve your character, and game world. making it something other than another boring wrestling game. american wrestling games have sucked after no mercy gameplay wise. smackdown added more of the story element, but it was way to limited and got boring and just became a mode to play so you could just unlock stuff. midway should make this game totally immersive.

its just those ideas in the game worked with some rg like features which add to the game world and make everything work more realistically well, realistic in a wrestling world.



and on fighting styles, while true they have multiple wrestlers, true some will have dif styles. but i'm talking about expanding that and having more styles in the game that no one in tna uses. go play the fire pro wrestling games or play KOC 2 awesome deep wrestling games fighting system wise.

also about online play, why keep it standard. it only makes sense to evolve. and mmo + wrestling = marriage made in heaven.

also by ai controlled created wrestlers i mean having wrestlers you created become part of the game workd. wwe raw 2 thought of this (granted the game was rushed , missing stuff, and pretty much crap, but atleast had some cool ideas, even though not fully implemented)

2. create a taunt
3. create a finisher w/ a chair,tables ETC
4. cracked tables still in the ring
5. barbed wire massacre
6. create an entrance ( creating .. not picking an entrance from a wrestler)
7. get to choose what to do in the story mode
8. a devastating effect or sound from a finisher or from a move
9. can touch the commentators
10. can go to backstage
11. can go to the crowd
12. can use the crowds signs

10. can go to the crowd all the way backstage and not just go one way up the wall way and can go from the backstage to outdoors can hit the crowds and the crowd will hit you that will keep you out of the fans

Personally I'll be happy if they forget the gimmicks, forget the hotspots, the million match types, the seperate types of move type (ie. ultimate control move!), the thousand types of weapon and how they break, fire, magic, animals, replay angles, somebody selling popcorn, fighting styles types or whatever else makes stats even more pointless, legends, licences, liquorice or whatever the hell else type of gimmicky THING people incessantly pester game makers for...

... just cut out all that nonsense, and make a standard one on one match really really fun to play.

And THEN, and only THEN, start bringing in the gimmicks.

Seriously at the end of the day, when you've played it a million times over, what would you rather have - the chance to watch a standard animation of somebody wrapped in a barbed wire coat setting a table alight in a Hell and Three Quarters match with snakes and a steel cage roof... or some other standard animation of nonsense like that... OR the chance to actually play a proper wrestling match! I know which I would rather have. Just to make it perfectly clear - the wrestling match.

And if you do prefer what I call the nonsense... why are you playing a computer game? Just rent a video of it. That's the key thing here - game. Not an interactive video with replaceable characters. That's how the WWE games seem sometimes - they've just gone all-gimmick without putting the proper actual game in there in the first place.

I'm hoping Impact really is different.

I'm not looking for a game full of worthless gimmicks. I just want a proper simulation of pro wrestling. I'm tired of developers who aren't wrestling fans, and don't understand wrestling always trying to put their own spin on things, and what you get is a game that has wrestlers in it, but plays like Tekken.

The roster or matches types are really inconsequential to me. I just want a proper wrestling game. Something like FPR or No Mercy. Already, the mentions of pressing a buttons sequences to hit moves, or the pinning and submission gimmicks worries me. But I'll wait to see the final thing.

I would like the iMPACT series to be a great wrestling game series, and not another Legends of Wrestling or Smackdown vs RAW.

I just want a game that lets me have matches that are like the real matches I watch on TV, and not the shit I get in most 'wrestling' games. A 3D FirePro inspired iMPACT would be nice.

First off STING he is the greatest wrestler of all time ok and him turning down wwe is a show of how much he hates them also you can ask any body this he is an awesome wrestler because he turned them down increasing his popularity 10 fold
