Hello. During the intro to the campaign mode, my game freezes and stops responding.
I'm running Windows XP
AMD Athlon 64 processor
Radeon x1950 pro ATI graphics card.
I have read the info (which comes with the game) which says the game freezes, and downloaded and installed the recommended drivers both for my processor and graphics card, but it still stops.
Any advice is welcome.
Thanks.

Wow I fixed it!
1) Go to My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame
2) Open and edit the UTEngine.ini
3) Change PumpWindowMessagesWhenRenderThreadStalled from False to True

i just bought the game and had the same problem. thanks for posting that fix.thier are other problems besides this out there too.
makes me wonder if they ever actually beta test stuff before they put it out there.
one post was saying you needed the latest version of dx 9.
you would think they would include the version of direct x needed to run the game with the cd.
midway gets a big fat meh and a from me on this.

Windows XP
Athlon 64 processor
GeForce 8800GTS
Dude, you're awesome! I had the same exact problem. I've installed just about every driver update I could think of. It must have took forever to find that entry in the .ini. I could make it work with my audio disabled so I was chasing an audio problem. Then I found your post and tried it and now I'm good to go! Someone should sticky this thread.

p4 2.4 gig
1gb ram
geforce 6600 256 meg. latest drivers, dx 9.0c
i've had other problems too. the game asks for my cd key every time i start it. then tells me its too long for a login password and goes to the login screen where i can start from, i've even got the bsod from driver crashes.
found this and it has alot of tweaks and fixes for problems with the game.

You sure it's asking for your CD key and not your Login password? You get that from Gamespy.

ya. found a fix for it in some tweak guides i've been reading today.but it didn't work. it just caused the game to crash on launch. i'll just keep the cd key handy forever i guess
