I loaded the game and it works just fine, no sound problems, a little choppy at load times, but otherwise ok.
Or so I thought.
As soon as I start the actual story of the game going into Rachel, NV I have to pick up the rocket launcher to shoot down the chopper that's harrassing us. Problem is, I can't pick it up.
The middle mouse button won't pick up the weapon, so I go in and change it to "F". Now when I go to pick up the weapon, it just switches weapons on me, rifle to pistol, or pistol to rifle. And it won't pick up the rocket launcher. I changed the bindings to several other keys, and got the same result.
I have installed both patches, and tried to uninstall/reinstall. Nothing fixes it.

4gb Corsair XMS DDR2 800 Dual Channel
XFX NVidia 8800GTX x2 in SLI
Raptor 10,000rpm 74gb HD's (x2) in striped RAID
Windows Vistax64 Ultimate
The game looks altogether shoddy, and I'm not overly impressed, so if I can't fix this by week's end, I'll return it for something else.
