I have the same problem
my system specs :
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+
DDR400 RAM 2G
NVIDIA GeForce 7600GS AGP8X update to driver 163.75
Could anyone help me ?

finally I found the solution that was to disable the sound card (included AC'97 and sound blaster live!-24 bit)
And I can play UT3 with no audio.
Is there any suggestion for me?

Maybe you need to visit www.creative.com and download a driver update if that is allowing you to play by turning off the sound.
