Stranglehold PC: Binding backspace key

I would like to be able to bind the backspace key to Tequila Action on the PC version of Stranglehold. Although it technically allows me to do this, the backspace key is also permanently bound to show the current mission objectives, with no obvious user-friendly way to disable this. The end result is that the mission objectives are shown every time a Tequila Action is performed. Is there any workaround?
