I really didnt want to make my very first post on this forum a negative one, but since i'm one of many PC-players trying to get this game working without success I feel I have to speak up.
I will now go on a rant about the "Black screen-issue"  .
I find it weak to first of all, release a game that is obviously not supported by what 30-40% maybe more of the gaming community due to them having Nvidia gfx cards instead of ATI. I know I know, "it's all about the system requirements" blah blah blah, I think we can all agree at this point that this is simply not true. ATI users seems to have superior degree of success in their attempts of playing the game compared to Nvidia users.
Reading posts throughout this forum proves that point.
Second thing I find weak about this issue is that it's a well known issue and the devs can not have missed the topic, that in itself should have sparked an interest in trying to correct the issue. That does not seem to be the case either. Instead we all get directed to visit just another link that specifies minimum system requirements which almost of the ppl who posted about the issue match or are even way beyond.
I'm not demanding that Midway release a patch tomorrow or anything, but pls get off your asses and participate on the forums in an attempt of helping us who spent our hard earned money on buying something that currently can't be used as anything but a coaster.
Give us feedback about possible upcoming patches, we are getting tired of the reply-monkies that simply massproduce a "visit this link" reply ...
I know that alot of ppl out there are going to find this post annoying and unnecessary since they can play the game without any apparent problems, but this is a problem for all of us who CAN NOT play the game currently.
I will not personally ever buy another Midway game due to the lack of support and feedback from the devs, and I will not recomend friends and other players in the gaming community to do so either.
I hope for Midways sake that not many ppl read this post since it't not very favorable for them.
Get this problem fixed pronto or lose large parts of your gaming community.

Yes, weak, weak weak.
Dude up here at the lab at CNET networks about 4 of us here at Gamespot.com have tried to correct this issue and have giving up. We all have removed this from our systems and about to put Midway on blast. Only 1 guy has been able to run it here at the office but it starting to lag really bad for him, issues w/ not saving correctly and crashing 4 out of 5 times you play it.

For those who have ATI Cards, can you try the following:
Go to www.ati.com and download the standalone driver package without the catalyst control center.
Install just the drivers themselves and then try to run the game. It should work correctly. I think theres a bug in the way the ATI Catalyst handles some games and Im looking into this further why this is.
Sorry to hear this game is harassing everyone via crashing, lockups, etc!
BTW... This can be on Molly's gripe list for her Buzz Report
