Intro is running and if I try to start the game, I´ll getting a black screen (music still running).
Reading in many Forums, i figured out, that this Problem even happend in the Demo-game.
Midway should try to give Solutions for this Problem in this Forum. Its maybe better than sending many tickets to them, or reading (like Bot) Threads from Cinder!
Maybe I should bring the Game back where i bought it, so that Midway have the chance to fix it.
Sorry, but I´m really angry to buy Games, wich are not working.

Although you didn't mention it specifically, I'm assuming that we're talking about Stranglehold here right?
If so, the problem is your graphics card. The x800/x850 series only supports Shader Model 2 in hardware. The game requires a video card that is DirectX 9.0c compliant (ie; Shader Model 3). You'll need to upgrade to a supported video card to play the game. These include the Radeon x1600 series and higher or the GeForce 7800 series or higher.

Ah, it's crap anyway. Even if whoranzone is not talking about Stronglehold.
I've exactly the same problem, but I use GT6600. So the shader should not be a problem.
I updated to the newest XP driver, start the game with the desktop resolution... I give up.
I've seen configs running with an XP2400 processor and 512MByte of RAM, no matter what is told in this nice forum.
At least, Stronglehold is not important for me. More interesting would be the performance by using an UT3 engine powered game.
I really hope for MIDWAY, that UT3 will work very smooth, otherwise all the community may start bad threats all over the world. THAT may casue in a disaster...

But...during waiting for a running stronglehold (maybe it will be sometimes finsished) we could have a 1on1 in UT...
Simply vistit our forum at UT-World.eu

Btw: There is no technical support in any way in this forum.
UT runs for sure with the most PC in the world, no need to be in panic atm.
