Stranglehold problem-Blue screen nv4_disp

I have a huge problem with stranglehold.I can´t play stranglehold(not demo) because when i start the game my pc give a error is a nv4_disp error.
Somebody can help me

My system exceeds recommended requirements and still gets this BSOD. I am guessing the game needs a patch of some sort.
System Specs:
E6600
2GB RAM
8800GTX
I have the retail version with a 12GB install sitting on my hard drive taking up space.

I can play the game, but only for a short while. After about 10 minutes or so, the screen freezes up and I have to find a way to abort (usually by going to Taskmanager to terminate the game process).
I'm thinking a patch may be needed also. IS there a patch out there for this game? If so, HOW do you GET to it???
Oh yeah, Sys specs:
Core 2 duo P4 2.667
Dual 8800 GTX
LOADS of free HD space
4 GB memory

I don't think there will be a patch soon, midway tech support aint doing antything about this problem, i mailed them a week ago but still no response..

Hi
Can the people who have potsed in here state what CPU they have ? I have had it suggested it may be a CPU issue (which i dont believe personaly but ya never can tell).
It was suggested that there may need to be dual core CPU's. What opperating systems have you lot got ?
Mine = AMD 3000+ XP
2 GIG ram
7950 GT
XP SP2
I also have emailed tech support and submited a direct x text file. All i have got back is the generic answer thanking me for my question and stating they will be in contact soon

Almost everyone who has posted earlier has a dual core and I am running this game on WinXP SP2.
BTW Uninstalled the game and saved up on 12GB. Return it to where you bought it. That will show em.

It's not your system it's the game fault it's not well optimized , i have an AMD 3500+ 64 , 1gb ram , 7600GS 640/1500mhz and had the same problem in xp but in Vista it worked with no problem .

yea im getting the same problem but i get black screen with a message RENDERING THREAD EXCEPTION GENERAL PROTECTION FAULT, HISTORY: ADDRESS 0x86c622 FILENAME NOT FOUND..
My system is AMDx2 due core 4000+,
SLI nforce 5 motherboard,
4GIG DDR2 800hz Ram
SLI PCI express 7600GT Card with up to
date drivers
Windows xp sp2 - up to date
as you can see, with that spec's i should play any game out there, but my friend has a weaker system than mine but only difference he has Windows Vista and Stranglehold works fine on his.
So i think if u got vista the game work fine , if u got xp u gonna get probs, then midway need to make a patch to fix it...

XBox 360. I just traded the game in for the 360 version and solved my issues. It's a sad day for PC gaming.

i have the same issue's under Vista32bit ultimate
My system:
Vista32bit ultimate
4gb ddr2 800mhz memory
Core2Duo 6420 2,13ghz 4mb cache
Ati Radeon HD2600XT 512mb DDR3
Every time i play i can play voor 6 till 10 minutes than the game freezes
i play at a resolution 1024*768
if a play at 1650*1080 it freezes directly at the beginning of the game.
What the hell is this, you pay a lot of money for this game €50 in the netherlands, i have a system that must be oke and still the game freezes.
Now i understand why people download illegal, when it does'nt play you throw it away.
Now i have to go back tot the shop en try to change the game for bioshock or assasins creed

N4_Disp.dll errors usually mean the item running doesn't like your graphics card driver - as N4_disp is part of the nvidia graphics driver set
try an earlier version of graphics drivers if newer versions don't fix it.
