okay, i'm usually not one for making topics...
but i figure, for now... to stem the tide of people complaining that the forum is the "best" place to post tech problems... Midway does have a tech support board for everyone to post... sure, it's not limited to only Stranglehold... but hey... it's something, right?

What you said is not the problem, the problem is that when people are looking for help about this game they are most likely to click on the link that says All things stranglehold vs just a plain tech support area.

Yep, but keep in mind that the Tech Issues for is NOT for official tech support. It's for users to help each other with known issues in games.
Official Tech Support can ONLY be had by going through the link in the sticky.

One of the MAIN reasons I frequently visit game forums is for TECH SUPPORT. NOT necessarily official tech help, but the BETTER kind of help that comes only from people who have played this and other games and have first hand experience solving general user problems.
Sure, the official tech help is good - even necessary - at times, but I have gotten more and better help in the past with many games from the PLAYERS.
I logged in to THIS board tonite mainly to check out what problems people have been experiencing with the game, and to see what kind of suggestions other gamers have been posting. Frequently, other gamers will reply to a post for help MUCH more quickly than a reply can be obtained from the official support crew. Nothing against the official crew, but the community is less overburdened and can focus better on individual problems, especially if a player sees a problem that he has just solved himself!
As for myself, I have tried playing the game several times now, and each time I get about 10 minutes or so into it and the screen freezes up, not allowing me to get past that point. My system specs SHOULD be adequate to run the game (new Alienware system w. Core2 Duo P4 processor, 4GB RAM, dual GeForce 8800 GTX video/756MB w/RAM each, over 900 GB free HD space (7500 and 10000 rpm HD's) and all updated drivers.
So, what's with the freezing??? Is it a community wide problem, or is it just me and maybe some stupid thing that I am not thinking about?
Any help (official tech or game community)n would be appreciated.
