I sent on 9/19 a request for help to midway support. I have not received anything from them at this point.
No we are looking in to your issue, no we received your issue and will work on it in the order it was received etc. Nothing at all.
I resolved my issue on my own but midway support has no way of knowing this since this is not the tech support forum. So I should get SOMETHING back from them.
So has anyone received a reply from them? And how long did it take for them to get back to you?

I've read in various places that Midway support emails back with the ever-useful "check your drivers and boot clean" style of tech support, and nothing else.
In fact, I suspect that deep within the Midway stronghold, locked away in a forgotten and forsaken room, an ancient, archaic robot sits, rusted and sparking, writing out the same response over and over. Around it lie the decayed bodies of the once-mighty Midway Tech Support Crew, abandoned to die by the convulsive, festering heart of the Midway Corporate Entity.

that was so freakin poetic man... I dunno I'm waiting for my reply and yes I'm expecting an auto-response, they probably have a million requests to go through but most likely all for the same reason. It would be nice to at least be informed if progress is being made on the problem, if they've even eliminated possibilities. I'm just hoping I didn't spend 65$ at EB Games for some plastic throwing stars I have to carve myself. But please midway techs update the mods so they can post a thread of progress so we know you're out there listening somewhere!

And Darth were you freezing at the loading screen like everyone else? if so what did you do to resolve the problem?

Because of the popularity of the game, they might be backlogged. So if you do not receive a response within 7 days , resubmit your request.

Although it's completely atypical, I received a response to my request about an hour after I originally sent it. My question was in regards to the PC version of the game supporting the Xbox 360 controller for Windows. Sadly, Midway support confirmed that it does not.

@shoany I still haven’t received ANY reply from them yet. The second part of yuor post is great!
@Xodice - I was freezing when I tried to start a new game. It was fine in the main menu. I was using Non-WQHL drivers for my 8800GTS card. I downloaded the newest WQHL drivers from Nvidia and I can now play.
@leafsfan2k6 - An automated response for every request for help should be sent otherwise they might get 2 or 3 perhaps more requests from help from people making thing even worse for the team trying to help their customers.

I have a solution to all your guys problems. Install the DirectX 9 (User runtime) REGARDLESS if you already have it. I did this and voila it fixed the problem. I also have 2gb DDR2 but I doubt that did anything to help. Hope this solution works for you.

Had problems on Pentium D 3,2Ghz, Radeon HD 2600XT,2 gig DDR2.
Tried this solution and it worked perfectly.

RESTART !!!!!!!!!!!!
This software downloads the newest DirectX.
Tried it on XP for DirectX 9c and on Vista for DirectX 10. Both System had problems with Stranglehold (0,1 FPS even on Load screen!!!!). After Patching DirectX the game runs with 60FPS.
PS: Eventually Midway should give this tips in FAQ.
PPS: @Midway: THIS IS THE BEST Shooter I've ever played! Thank you for making it and keep up the good work!

The update direct x thing should be a standard with regular pc maintinence.
