shaolin monks new game problem

hi when ever i play shaolin monks and try to start a new game it freezes. there is pretty much no scratches on the disc and i tried it on multiple ps2's. why is this happening? i can load previous games fine but i cant start a new one.

How can you have previous games when you can't start new ones?

at one point i was able to start new games with no problems then all of a sudden it just stopped working

My game has a habit of freezing here and there too, but never permanently like you described. Just out of curiousity, where does it usually do that? When my game screws up for a time, it's usually in the Soul Tombs.

whenever i go to ko-op or konquest it lets me pick the characters and pick the difficulty level then it just shows a black screen. ive waited over 20 minutes and it still didnt work.

If it worked at one time, but doesn't now, I'd say that narrows it down to a physical problem instead of a programming error.
Can you get ahold of another person's disk and try it?

I see your problem but its not as bad as you cant even see your hero and your fighting shao kahn. (bad view ftl)
But try and buy a new game

it's probably physical my game freezes when i enter the portal after beeing fought at the pit
