BioShock is a low poly Game. And the Textures havent got a high resolution. wink So, thats normally that a 7900 nvidia card havent got no problems with this game.

For reference BioShock is very video RAM heavy. I can run the demo in 1024x768 just fine with my 7900GT 256MB at the highest settings. But at 1152x896 or higher I start getting problems caused by lack of video memory.

Check your drivers or something beacause theres something terribly wrong if you cant play airborne on high with that rig.
Even my 7600GS gets about 20fps on high settings.
So you should have no trouble playing that.
Anyway i think 7600GS will handle stranglehold very well on low-medium.

Lol recommend is a 8600 or higher, I have a 7900 gtx and I can run the game perfect. So I don't have any doubts about Stranglehold.

uh... did you READ it properly?

the 8600 is required for DX10... does your 7900 GTX support DX10? the "recommended" for DX9 is 7900 GT.

also, performance wise, the 8600 is slower than the 7900 GTX anyway. the only thing more "superior" about the 8600 is that it supports DX10.

who the hell told you that?

DX10 support in nVidia was not implemented until the 8 series chips. in fact, DX10 is pretty much the reason there is an 8 series chip.

only if you really want it. you have a 7900 GTX... which should be close to an 8800 GTS (in some DX9 games)... so playing $300-$400 right now doesn't seem like it'll do much good when you already have a 7900 GTX, just to get DX10.

don't get me wrong, i bought an 8800 GTS w/640 MB, but the video card i was upgrading from was a Diamond Viper II (long story). so for me, i was going to spend money anyway.

as much of a fan that i am of DX10... there won't be an "DX10 only" games for a while... most new games will still use both dx9 and dx10.

that being said... there are some benefits of going DX10... some games do look better (opinion of course) in DX10.

Hey Guys,

Good news from Germany: PC Mag PC Games tested for System Requirements with their PC's. So the result is, that u can play Stranglehold with more than 30 fps, if u have at least an athlon 64, 1 gb ram and a geforce 6600 gt/ radeon X1600!
German Pc Mag: Gamestar said it can run good on a System with 512 mb ram.

Hope this helps ^^
