Midway Arcade Treasures 3 PC - Garbled Audio in these games

Badlands , Stunrunner , Super Off Road , Super Off Road Track Pak. These games all have garbled audio on my Sound Max built in sound solution on the motherboard. The other games do not exhibit this behavior.
Is the audio rendering used in these titles a bit off in their sound decoding routines? I tried lowering the hardware acceleration for the sound to the lowest , and it fixed the problem with extremely delayed audio playback.
Might be time for me to upgrade to a nice sound blaster card , or can midway do something about this ?

I heard the problem was existed in the console versions as well.
