The Suffering: Ties that Bind NPC problem
I just recently installed Ties that Bind and I've been appalled at all the problems that come up in the game. I played the original Suffering, and I never encountered as many problems as TTB.
I am having a serious problem with all the NPCs, particularly the ones that require Torque to protect and escort around. They tend to just walk against the walls or run around back and forth, not going in the direction I need them to. Is anybody else having the same problem? Is anybody NOT having this problem?
Running on:
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (2.42 ghz)
1 gig of ram
80 gb HD
WinXP SP1
ATI Radeon X800 XT AGP
Creative X-FI Xtreme Music
I've been running the game on max settings at 1280x1024 resolution, same as my desktop resolution. I already tried reinstalling the game and deleting the directory folder, but still no results.

The official line seems to be to change your desktop resolution to 800x600

I would suggest to turn the resolution ALL the way up and turn ON anti-aliasing also turn ON Vsync.

I have this problem now as well. But it started happening when I installed ATI CATALYST DRIVER 5.12, before that the NPS's were doing their programmed routes but as soon as I installed 5.12 they started behaving in a way that bamb0o-stick describes. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling TTB but the problem still persists.

RE: The Suffering: Ties that Bind NPC problem
And also one I have one with of the weapons the M-60. When i have the weapon and just walk over another M-60 its ammunition gets put into my M-60 in other words 100 bullets now comes 200 bullets but if I go over another M-60 right after its increased to 200 it doesn't get increased not even if I use some bullets the spare M-60 bullets doesn't get added on lets say that I have 150 bullets in the M-60 and find another one but when I walk over it its ammunition doesn't increase the bullets that i have now in other words its still 150. Anbd also when I press my reload button TORQUE reload the M-60 as if it was any other automatic weapon.
