Hi all,
I've had MK : Deception for a while now, and it's a great game, but I've got this really frustrating problem with the online play mode.
Once I set everything up, and had registered with the Online Play Disc with Sony, I started the game and tried to use the Online mode. It all started ok, came up with ""please wait...Downloading Stats" and then let me play. I made a profile and had a few fights. The next day, I started my PS2, and tried Online mode again, and it all started and connected. But when I got to the Profile login screen, it came up with "please wait...Downloading Stats" again...except it never finished "downloading".
I still have the problem now - the message comes up, everything freezes (but the background is moving so it hasn't locked up) and nothing ever happens. I have to reset the console.
It's annoying because I've tried everything - editing my profile, changing my online setup - I even tried waiting to see if the message would disappear, but 7 hours later, it was still there. I'm sure I have everything set up right, I just don't know what's causing it.
Any help would be appreciated,

Sorry to bump this but I'm getting really desperate now...I am still getting the same stupid error.
If no-one can help with the problem, can anyone suggest good links to tech support?

I'm in the exact same position and dont know where to turn. Its really annying as other titles work online but not this:(

what are you using to connect?
an adapter or your regular internet connection?

I'm using a cable modem connected to my pc via ethernet cable, then another ethernet cable going from my second nic from the pc to the ps2. ICS is enabled on my cable modem to allow access. I dont have problems with other online ps2 titles, as i've tried MGS3, etc.
In addition, i have also tried disabling windows firewall and zone alarm firewall when booting up MKD and it makes no difference. Its weird cos DNAS is authenticated and it connects to the server. Soon as "downloading Stats" appears, it freezes until i unplug the cable to quit to the front-end.
I've tried contacting Midway Support but i have have no reply for a while now.

I'd take the PC out of the equation. You should hook the cable modem straight into the PS2. Don't chain it off the PC.
