PS2 Memory Card Issues
Hi. I am trying to transfer my Mortal Kombat Deception file from one memory card to the other. But it says copy protected. Why is that and how do I unprotect it? I have another MK Deception file that WILL allow me to copy. Why is this?
The only difference is that I've played online with the one that I cannot copy. If I have to erase my online info, then I'll be glad to do it so I can transfer all my hard work from Konquest mode over to my other memory card, but I cannot find the option to delete my online and/or login info.
Please help!

I've been told over and over that there is no way to copy MK profiles.

RE: PS2 Memory Card Issues
Hmmm, sounds like it could work but I've tried it a few times and nothing. The game asks for the player to insert the correct memory card. I even tried to trick it by having the same named "profile" on each card and then swapping them. Sounds like you managed to work a way around it? Any detailed tips?

I have tried that too and it doesn't work for me either. I think it has something to do about online accounts that make it copyright.

Sounds like it should work in theory...
It's a shame, I sure don't want to play that whole Konquest game again after my main memory card fails (and they all eventually do - couldn't midway foresee this?) I'd probably end up trashing the entire game rather than finding all those characters, and arenas again.

RE: PS2 Memory Card Issues
I am having the same issue. My brother has been sharing his memory card with me for the past few years. He keeps telling me to transfer all of my stuff But midway had to stop me. WTF. He is threating to delete it and there is nothing i can do! This better not happen with the next mk game or i'll write an angry letter.

RE: PS2 Memory Card Issues
I couldn't findmy memory card when I first got MK:D, so I saved it on my brothers. EVerything was fine for a while, but then we ran into a problem in which my brother wanted to ge to his cousins house for a week and I couldn't play MK until he got back. When he got back, I transfered all the save files from my card to his, then deleted it off my memory card. Then I tansfered all his save files onto my memory card, then deleted the originals off of his.
The result: I basically switched memory cards by transfereing data. I took his memory card w/MK and all me data, and he took mine with his data.
This little "security" feature shouldn't be included in the next game. Also, when you have a memory card with stuff unlocked in the machine at the same time as one without stuff unlocked, the stuff is unlocked for the person who didn't have it originally.
Hope all that made sense ^.^;;
