I have exactly the same problem. Did you find any solution in the meantime?
I'm stuck! A patch, maybe?

Im having the same problem too, and I think I have found out whats causing it. I discovered this on accident - Your computer is to fast. I have a 3200+ Athlon 64 and a ATI Radeon X800 Pro graphics card with 1 gig of PC3200 DDR400 Ram. My computer plays Psi Ops at around 175 FPS with full detail. Whenever I go to climb ladders the character starts to shake violently and then flings off the ladder and dies. I opened up a program called "Fraps" which is used to record movies of D3D and OpenGL programs. I was going to record a video of what was happening so people could better understand what we're talking about. Fraps, when recording a video, forces all D3D and OpenGL programs to run at 30 FPS, I hit record and started to climb a ladder...and it worked fine, no jumping, no dying, or anything. I then turned off Fraps and the problem came back again. So apparently if you have a computer thats fast enough, you'll have problems climbing the ladder.

Here is the compressed version of the video that I recorded at 30 FPS where the problem usualy occurs...notice this time nothing out of the ordinary happens. http://www.blazin-vids.com/PSIOPS.wmv

Im thinking that if I can find a small program that can adjust the FPS in D3D and OpenGL games, the problem will be fixed by setting the max FPS of the game to around 60 FPS.

OK, I figured out how to fix it. On your PC, go into your graphics card settings by right clicking on your desktop, going to properties, then the settings tab. Then click the "Advacned" Button and search around in there for an option to change the "vertical sync". Set the vertical sync to either "Always On" or "Application Preferance". Then in the game you have to go into the graphics settings, and turn Vertical Sync ON. For me this fixed the problem and I have no more jumpieness when climbing ladders. Hope this helps.
