Is there a patch in the works for Area 51 PC version? For me the jump issue is making the game unplayable. Seems like that would be a simple fix but there might be more issues to deal with than that.
Also, is there any way to disable the Starforce Copy Protection in an upcoming patch?

I am having a jump issue as well. I can only get through level 1 and then when it jumps to the pre-level 2 cutscene the game crashes to the desktop. Please somebody fix this!!! I loved lvl 1 but if I can't get any further soon, this game is just going to collect dust.

game desperatley needs a patch really jerky and hard to aim no matter what i set vertical and horizontal mouse sensitivity to.. be in the middle of a gunfight and ill end up facing away from the aliens getting spanked. and thats on my amd 64 x2 4800 @3g , 1gb ddr600 , ati x800xl , with a constant 75fps

I bought the game the day it came out in June. I was able to play through a couple of levels and then I too started having problems with the game locking-up/crashing on the cut scenes. I had to uninstall because it made the game unplayable. I have been patiently awaiting a patch since June. I hope one is coming soon. Does anyone know of a work-around solution?
