Why costumes?

In Street fighter they only have one and if you pick the same character its just a different color, same goes for all the mk games before mk4. costumes are not a big deal.

true, but this isn't Street Fighter. Nothing against the franchise, but we're talking Mortal Kombat, and to us, costumes are a big deal. MKDA and MKD had GREAT alt. costumes that showed us a different version of some characters we loved.

thats because street fighter blows... while mortal kombat kills every fighting game franchise

thats because street fighter blows... while mortal kombat kills every fighting game franchise
sf4 will have costumes. But the 2d once didn't , also mk is far from the best of the fighters I play many kinds and I have seen better *esp* compared to mk games, mk4,mkda,mka.

Mk vs dc could just have the costumes downloadable later like sf4 will do.

Am I the only one who realises that the longer they spend on DLC after this game is released, the less time they'll spend working on a good game like MK9?

yh i do not want too much DLC as it will effect the next M-rated game so just give us an M-rated pack lol with characters

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The MK team are stalling, hoping that we'll forget the terrible story of Armageddon, so that they're not forced to kill off some characters and isolate their fanbases. This game is taking away valuable time that would be better spent making MK9 something special. To be perfect honest, I'm dreading MK9 because there's a strong chance of it being MKvsDCU minus the DCU.

More likely this game is just a test for their new fighting mechanics, so they don't jump right into the series proper with a faulty system like last time.
