My Raiden Theory

This is just as the topic title suggests: A theory. It's based on nothing other than information gleaned from previous MK games and my own wild imaginings.
I don't think Raiden will be in this game. Instead, he will be replaced my Fujin. Is this far-fetched? Absolutely, especially considering that this game is supposedly made up of the most iconic MK characters (of which Raiden is a card-toting member). Fujin will replace Raiden because, as previous MK games have established, Raiden is no longer the official protector of Earthrealm; he gave the title to Fujin when he became an elder god in MK4 (I think).
Though this game is not canon, it still follows previously established canon events. Raiden is a omnipotent entity above even Superman, so I think his inclusion would be a bit unfair. Fujin is much more grounded and therefor a more likely candidate for the roster.

well Boon said Iconic characters...who is more inconic than Raiden?...with the inclusion of Liu Kang, Raiden is bound to be in the game cause their stories are so intertwined...

Raiden is more iconic than Fujin and the game is not canon so anyone can be in and it requires no reason other than popularity or how important they are to the series for them to be in.

they also said that somekind of magic will be involved making superman be vulnerable to attacks n stuff...so the same could apply to raiden...him being weakend by it? Raiden will be in, Fujin has no shot. sorry dude

Just think about how sick Raiden WILL look considering its on 360/PS3, especially if hes got lightning flying around him while he fights. Oh and does anyone remember that video released before they even announced MK vs DC? Showing a dark figure with a pointy hat like MK1 Raiden, with a message that said something along the lines of "something dark is coming"? Just more evidence that Raiden will probably make it in.

Fujin is one of my favorite characters though, it would be sick if he was in this game but he isn't as "iconic" as other characters

yes, most iconic characters will be in the game, but "Captian Marvel" is in it too, so obviously like HE SIAD, there will be some unexpected exceptions to the "iconic" rule.
DUH!
I can careless if either of the two characters are in the game because I won't be playing with either.
