And a projectile causing damage (the icicle)
That's weirdly the only logical way. An ice projectile that doesn't freeze...

You don't need to mess with lighting to know for a fact that they are not the same.
The first picture it's an icicle
The second picture it's a blue orb-ish ball, like the one from MK Armageddon.

I must say I like both equally. I think the ball should stay, because the special move is called Freezeball. But then again, new is refreshing and the new one differs from the others' projectile moves more.

Keeping it as a sphere would only make it more bland and I think it looks like a blue fireball that way... which isn't a good thing.
