Exactly, that's what I believe right now. Mortal Kombat gonna diverge into two different lines:
- The one 100% MK features and rated for M
- The "VS" series wich began in this one MKvsDC and its rated for T

well, you are right, that the 8800 cards are now very affordable..atleast in the US, thus making a PC port makes complete sense, atleast to me..since:
A) the hardware allows it
B) the HW prices are dropping and req. for UE3 are low
C) there is a PC fanbase for MK imo
D) you can hook up a x360 controller or any controller to your PC and play with it
E) emulation would be tough, since the hw req. are huge..i mean, the only well working emules are for very old systems or old consoles like N64,PS1,Xbox..those work perfectly..whereas the PS2 games..lets say, the emulator still doesnt use its full potencial..the games run with bad framerate, slowly..and there isnt just any comp which could run it with everything on on a high resolution..not to mention, there isnt a final version of the PS2 emo, so a PS3/x360 emulator wont be here atleast for 5years...therefore a PC port is the best option...
Im sure it would work..myself, i want to play MK games on PC (new ones)..but cant...and im surely not the only one
Gamepads are probably a lot cheaper than Xbox controllers. and If someone where to break the conversion process between The Xbox and PC, the 360 would fall a lot closer than 3-5 years. the technique should be a lot closer than that.
and Economically, All you have to do now (in the US, I respect) is buy a cheap new desktop from some whole in the wall chain store and drop a FXF 8800GS in it and it's far stronger than the 360 AND the PS3. Crysis wouldn't touch it if you payed for it, but It'll play all the same games the 360 plays with a far better picture.
It's just a mater of time before the consumer realizes that their 400 dollar PC that they bought for My Space can play those same games better than the console can for a measly $150 more. Microsoft CAN't sell them for that. All I meant by all that was that it's not a matter of if but when. I made this thread hoping that this was the first PC MK game.

u dont listen do u? this isnt that same game he was talking about. he was working on the NEXT GEN OF MK for about 8 months b4 this crossover idea was given to him. plus it is still dark

Any proof also the last few games have not been unless someone has made it them self from hacking or something!!!!
Shaolin Monks was pretty dark, i have to say.

Watching the E3 convention, it amazed me how many 360/PS3 games where also ported to PC. By poor estimate, it seemed to be more than half. Mostly Shooters, RTSs, and comic-based platformers (I actually want SM: Web of shadows MORE than Crysis Warhead), but still far better than past years. Game developers just have to make enough money from PC ports so their dependency on platform developers is gone, without said platform developers becoming angry and boycoting the game developers . . . kind of like the US and Iran . . .
Some one told me that PC Fighters have had a bad experience, but game designers seem to be worming up to the platform. Definitely a good time to be a PC gamer.

anyways, i also don't see why there will be a problem in making MK vs DC for PC, they do not have to change anything, they just have to recook everything from console to PC packadges....
But if it does, it's going to be like GTA IV...after a year or so...
And those of you who goes :"Ah pricacy here we come!" If the game sells good on PS3 and 360 then a PC version will just lift the bar even higher, ultimatly make more provit then loss overall....
and not only PC software can be pirated, it's more commen but not the only platform that suffers from it, so stop whining....

No, I'm not yelling or flaming, just giving my oppinion that's all....
wait...
I did yell, but not about MK, about Crysis, gess that game sucked toes (Not because i can't run it, i get 25FPS with DirectX10 and everything on full detail running a res of 1680*1050 or something, with AA and Vsync enabled  ) the ending was sooooo anti-climax!
SO sorry to those who thought I was flaming
I meen, they always had the PC ports, till MK4, now, it is well known that UE3 is a PC engine, and the PC is just as "next-Gen" as a 360 and PS3...
They might not think of this now, but hopefully in time they will. Like GTA IV wasn't ment for PC nor was Final Fantasy 13 for 360 and PC, but now those games are...
