	If someone makes a black Superhero, it becomes Barack Obama? I don't get it. You can't have a black superhero without it being controversial, can you? The African American Green Lantern is the most iconic, whether you like it or not. 	John Stewart. He's probably the most popular GL. 	Hey nothing wrong with a black Green Lantern, I thought he was coolest (if they ever do a movie they should cast Samuel L. Jackson) And I thought Michael C. Duncan did a good job as Fisk, even though my favorite is the animated version seen in Spiderman. And as far as the "affirmative action" mentioned, thats kinda a stupid way to see it. After all if you think about the majority of MK characters are mostly of asian desent. 	I don't think Sam Jackson would work. He's be a shoe in for Ultimate Nick Fury, but that's an obvious pick(and one that' just recently been done). In terms of popularity, I think Hal is the first one on the list. John Stewart got more coverage as he starred in the Justice League cartoon, but I wouldn't say he's the most famous.

It is the fact that he is picked above other characters because of his skin colour that the issue starts. And yes, that is what we will now refer to as "pulling an Obama", picking a person or thing because of its ethnicity or simple uniqueness for what it is, rather than what it is underneath that. Fact of the matter is that John Stewart's recently publicity is due to the fact that he IS BLACK, something you need to get through your head. NO, he isn't the most popular, hell, Hal was brought back from the dead TWICE because his fans lost their minds. Hal Jordan has been the face of the GL for years, and just because he isn't the right skin colour, doesn't mean he shouldn't be put in this game. Anyways, I think that if John Stewart does get put in, they should make him look like his JLU self rather than the comic version.
