I want you guys to realize something. This is a game with characters from the DC Comics universe and the Mortal Kombat universe. They each have an equal role in the game and story and are equally represented. This is NOT, i repeat, NOT a Mortal Kombat game. It will never be considered part of the main franchise because A) if it does well it'll get it's own franchise and B) if it does poorly it'll be ignored.
That said, now we can embrace the MKvDC from now on aka Steve (because I want to get it in your head that it is not MK) will have finishers. Not fatalities because fatalities, after all, are only for MK, not Steve. The only thing you could hope for is Ed Boon to show some mercy and allow for Brutalities and Friendship to end the match as they did in the older games. Perhaps there will be a Faintality? But since Steve is a departure from MK entirely, it is unlikely, and appropriate, that we will not see any "ality's" of any kind. The best thing that could be done is that the finishers are called something unique, like "Clinchers" hahaha. Perhaps instead of Hara Kiri in this game we can have "Run Away-ality".
On an aside, I think back to when my dad caught me performing an Animality in MK Trilogy. he said "I'm just glad they didn't call it Beastiality". And now I get it.
Anyway my point is, whatever, it could work, it might not, who knows. Finishers are better than nothing. I think that's a consensus we can reach.

Seeing as how Ed Boon can't seem to get over his childhood, I doubt he could ever make an MK game as good as what I have in my head.
But don't worry, there are plenty of buyers to supply Midway's needs.

problem is, and I know this from personally experience as an amateur game designer, is that what you think is good in your head doesnt turn out so well in the flesh, or what happened with me and my friends, is that the tech isnt at a point where your game can function (properly).
most of us like to think the games we have in our heads would turn out well. turns out, most of us are wrong.
yours might be the exception, it might not. i dont know and i dont pretend to read minds. just saying from a matter of statistic and experience, that whats in your head likely would never work.

secondly, you are stating an OPINION. judging a game (in most cases) is like judging food, it all comes down to your personal taste. There are people who say that the MK franchise, in its entirity, suck. for every game that has ever won a Game of the Year award, theres a clan of gamers out there who think that game is a pile of crap.
Thirdly, you are delusional. Midway doesnt give a flying fuck what you, me, or anybody else thinks. if you got a petition together, and had the signatures to equate to say maybe the entire county of Chicago, than MAYBE they'll pay attention. they arent going to change the game, not when they have allready spent a year+ of development money on it. they are ESPECIALLY not going to waste a year of development investment when their about to go bankrupt. by making a whole new game, thats actually taking a bigger risk because they have spent more time, more money, into the game, which means that in order to make it in the black, let alone a substantial profit, they would have to sell a significant ammount of more copies.
Finally, who the Fuck do you think you are, the reincarnation of Nostradomus? you have a lot of nerve to say shit about me that, not only do you have absolutly no goddamned clue about, but its also completly inaccurate. Do you live in Poway, California? where you in Gaeta, Italy in 91-94 and playing arcade games in the same bowling alley I was? have you seen my gaming collection?
