Actually, they were both pretty good gameplay-wise.
And I think the fans found Taven to be a bit more agreeable than say... Shujinko.
Even so, neither quite wield the iconic level requisite to be in a game like this.
Keep in mind, when they introduced obscure characters in other crossover games -- characters like "Dan" in SFvsMSH come to mind -- it tended to annoy people more than anything else.

Agreed. I could see Blind Kenshi making the cut, but these two? HELL NO! Two unpopular characters from the most unpopular MK game ain't going to make this short list, but ya, Taven was miles above Shujinko, especially since he had his own movesm no stole moves from other fighters.

They've got the same chances as Tremor and Hornbuckle appearing in this game which looks mostly unlikely.........

I don't think they would put a forced character (a character we had to use in a certain mode) into a game based off popularity because it would be unfair to us fans. Even they are pretty good I think more are better.

Bite your tounge I like Taven. I think he has atleast a 5 percent chance. Daegon maybe a 2 or 3. But deffinatly more chacne than Shinjinko, Meat, or Mokap.

i read an atricle where Boon says that IF this game goes good then it will be a new franchise. meaning he will have this and the REAL MK running side by side and the storylines will be different
