Say you took so much time and put so much work into making/designing a character. That character didn't kill because they were a Super Hero and respected "justice or something" (doesn't matter the character was drawn with some non-killing code of honor blah blah)
Now you team up with a video game franchise who put this character into a game, and you're character was portrayed as the exact opposite of your idea and killed opponent's and with some correct button mashing had his spine torn out of his ass or something.

Of course I'll prolly get a reply "No I wouldn't be offended" and thats you .. but somehow or some reason DC didnt want that and MK agreed to play along with that. Even if it possibly ruins them they took this risk.
Exactly DC might do some Violent things but its theres to say what happens to their chars, not boon's say on weather Superman gets his balls ripped off then shoved down his throat then have his head chopped off.
