I'm glad Robin Shou didn't do the turkey impressions. It would have made MK1 movie annoying to watch, and would have made MK Annihialtion even more annoying to watch.
I don't like Liu Kang in any of the games, but in the movie he passes as quite cool.

yea im not a fan of liu kang but i put up with him. he was excellent in the movie though

(This is a fast fat guy with good martial arts skills. Who can be better!)

Jet Li would be good as Kung Lao, he is cool in most of the films he's in, and that is what you want with Kung Lao, someone cool.

Shame Trevor Goddard who played Kano in the first movie is no longer with us, he was awesome as Kano I thought, made me like Kano more than I did before the movie.
Those 2 should play those characters.

Damn, I never heard about that, he Was a good Kano too.
I can totally image Jason Statham as Kano, but more like the MK3 version. He's English but can sound Australian sometimes, he's already an awesome martial artist as is Kano, I can see him having the right attitude and skill there. Then again if he wants to play a good guy he MAY also be a good Striker too. He should definitely find his way into the movie somewhere. Even though he's EVERYWHERE right now, I hope people don't just get absolutely sick of him first.

Trevor died of an overdose, both prescription drugs and illegal drugs, goes to show kids, Don't touch drugs, they do you no good what so ever!
I'd rather Jason played Kano than Stryker. But if they wanted a cool Stryker than perhaps Jason could pull it off.
Other Characters
Shao Kahn - Jeffery Meek (the guy who played him in MK Conquest TV Series) He did a great job as the Emporer and as Raiden.
