If he had a more Emperor-ish Outfit, and more abilities, would he be a pretty good Final Boss? I mean, no way he'd be a Shao Kahn or Onaga, but he'd be a pretty sweet Shang Tsung.

I wouldnt compare him to Shang Tsung but yea if he had a cool set of armour and more moves and a cooler weapon other than that staff he would have been a better character in MKA. As a boss he already had his chance twice. Once in MK4 and once in MKA, remember the only reason why MKA happened was because of Shinnok. If he hadnt caused armageddon he would have most likely become the boss after Onaga. But his story has changed now so I doubt he has a future.

I personally loved his role in MKA. It was dark and evil and I kinda trusted Shinnok. And Taven doesnt even know that Shinnok betrayed him. So to contradict my previous statement. I can see this fact lead MK8. Shinnok reveals his betrayal to Taven or Shinnok continues to fool him. It sound awesome. Taven can become a pawn in Shinnoks take over! ANd it makes sense because I remember that a lot of people said they wanted to progress through an MK story knowing and learning about the villian. We know his back story and everything we need to know about him and so now were just watching and following his next move.
