Mortal Kombat on PS3 difficulty levels...

Hi,
Today I downloaded Mortal Kombat II from the Playstation Store. I was really excited about playing it as I havn't played it for years. My dissapointment was astounding! I love Mortal Kombat games but the difficulty is next to impossible and makes the game well, crap basically. It gives 5 difficulty levels all of them are the exact same except that the easiest one always seems to start on Baraka or maybe thats just a weird coincidence.
I wonder if there is a possibility that they might release a patch to put normal playability difficulty levels in the game or perhaps even release an easier version of the game.
I must say that I was highly disappointed that the game was made so infuriatingly difficult. I know it only cost me 5 euros but I was damn well looking forward to playing it. I really hope the developers are reading this.
P.S. I am not the only one who feels this way I have seen comments posted around the internet about people who felt the same here for example a few comments after the review: http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:9m1c175KDXMJ:www.ps3fanboy.com/2007/05/06/metareview-our-take-mortal-kombat-ii/+mortal+kombat+2+on+ps3+difficulty&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=3&gl=ie&client=firefox-a

Whats the point in putting in difficulty level options if they aren't implemented in the game? This was extremely badly done.

Its an arcade port, what do you expect from an arcade port all it Knows is that its an arcade game and it needs to beat you so you can throw in some more quarters. Its "uncivilized" in that I mean, it dont know its on a home system. It thinks its out on the streets, a wild animal.
Its the same thing as the midway arcade treasures I have on my PSP. I can play MK1 or MK3 all the way through. I have a hard time with Khan but its ok and I can beat Goro and Tsung in MK1 easily but when I choose MK2, I can make it up to the 3rd opponent but then thats it for me.
Like I said MK2 is a direct Arcade port so it beats you to force you to feed more quarters even though...

MK2 was probably the hardest game in the entire series to beat.

I'd rather give birth to a chair than see an MK vs. DC crossover game. Goodbye, it's been fun. I'm leaving for good. Take care, everyone.

I can beat all of the MKs, it's just that MK2 is easily the most difficult of the bunch.

Mk II has been the ONLY Mk Arcade title I never laid my hands on. I have the opportunity to play it on the M.A.T. vol 2 on Ps2 & PsP and Yes! it is very difficult not only to beat the whole Arcade ladder but 4-5 opponents (even on the easiest setting)! And that's a reason I still haven't finished it, not laying my hands again on it

I'm usually pretty versatile in any MK game, but I was only ever able to beat MK2 with Kitana and Shang Tsung.

Are you guys serious?? This game is piece of cake!
What's that about kintaro being hard.....?? That's a joke right,, he's like the easiest of em all! I get double flawless almost everytime, regardless of character choice.
Kahn is easy too,, just observe the AI a little and you'll eventually beat it - with ease!
All opponents are predictible like hell. Just learn their counters. If you know how they react to your attacks, you know how to beat them.
If you constantly attack, you'll loose! You will quickly learn that they are programmed to counter almost any direct attack. Therefor attack them while they're attacking you. That way they wont be able to block and counterattack you.
An example could be: wait for you opponent to walk to you. Jump backwards when he's close, he'll then jump after you. As you'll hit the ground first you can jump towards him/her with a jumpkick. They will stand no chance against your attack as they cant block in the air.
Just remember not to attack mindlessly. Time you attacks!
