How do you get stars? I've been playing the game for a while and I don't have any stars yet. I see people with 2 or 3 stars and their rank is alot lower than mine. Or are they there, but I just can't see them?

When you look at someone's profile online some of them have either one, two, three, or four stars.

I think he means the ones near your username. If you mean that you get them from posting a lot. I think the first one is around 50.

No I mean when you play MK on the ps2 online. It says "Ping" stars.

I know that you have to fight alot. I do fight alot and I win alot too. I am wondering why people that have a lower rank than I do, have stars (or "Ping"s as it is called in the game) and I don't.

Exactly.
If you play against a player with five stars, then you'd be playing the matches with no problems at all.
But playing against someone with fewer stars(which means that that someone has a bad internet connection) will result in a laggy match that might even get canceled.
The stars have nothing to do with how skilled you are. Just try to pick players with lots'a stars.
