Nobody i know likes mk like i do. My mom thinks it's awfull. My friends will play but they get bored of it quickly cuz they can't beat me. i wish i had a homey that's as obsessed and as good at it as i am.

I feel your pain.  Playing against the computer isn't really an option for MK:SM. That's what I'm stuck with. The closest one to MK fighting ability in my family is my 5 year old brother.  He's helped me through a lot of stuff in the game though. 
As for family prefs, My dad is indifferent, (he's old fashioned) my mom is kind of okay with it, but the trailer for Deception disgusted her, with the Death Traps she called, "merely gratuitous". I told her that her MAMA was merely gratuitous! SHOWED HER! 
One sister, I don't know who she likes, another doesn't care, and never answers ANY question I ask her another likes Kitana, another likes Sonya, and my 5 year old brother likes Kung Lao (Excellent taste. But he's going through the same problem Reptile's younger brother is. But every time someone tries to correct him, he gets defensive, claiming that he's, "Not going to really do it." and that he's, "Not an idiot!")
My aunt likes Liu Kang, but it's because he looks good. A lot of my family watches me play MK, I can ask them when they're available, it's the holidays, and they're around more often.
