Well, there are some true Midway fans here, The Grind was awesome. And alspo non-existant. (Don't mind my sarcasm =P)
The game was called The Grid. MK cameos included Scorpion, Noob, andSub-Zero. Not sure if there were others, 'cause I never played. Or saw it anywhere. Was it released only in certain locations?

It was cancelled for the a Ps2 conversion according to IGN.com
Screens don't show MK characters though.

Lol. I'm surprised no one picked up on the incorrect name.
You can see Sub-Zero in The Grid by opening some Koffin in MK:DA

Personally, I only want Mortal Kombat 2, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Those are my favorite of the 2D fighters. I wish I had a UMK 3 machine. Hopefully, Midway will include UMK 3 and MK Trilogy in the next Mortal Kombat game.

no game would come with umk3 and mkt. I guarentee 99% of people would realize that trilogy has the same stuff and more.

indeed! MKT is exactly like UMK3 but the difference is that in MKT you can choose all characters from MK1 to UMK3 incluiding the bosses! (except kameleon and chameleon)!
