help with soul tombs and where is smoke
|
i am new to the game. im at the biggining of soul tombs at the save point.
i see 2 doors to go through but both lead to some kind of dead end.where do i go?
i heard people saying something about smoke, so how do u find him?

smoke is in the living forest and when you first enter the soul tombs theres 2 doors just go in one of them and one of the doors leads to the another room with 2 doors walk in one has the orochi hellbeast in it but the door is locked so one of them doors leads to some kinda test your might switch once you activate it go to to the room with the orochi hellbeast in it once hes defeated exit the room compleatly now you will a long yellow light pointing at the at a locked door now go to the other room once you have got to the part with the 2 guys locking a door theres another room to the left enter it you will see a big fan above you theresa upstairs passage enter it now you are above the fan walk left run up some broke stairs jump now tarkats will surround you knock them on the fan once you knock em all on the fan a piece of it brakes hop on it now get up on a ledge walk right now you will see short steps run up the step on the big black button thing this makes a large sword drop out of a staues hands go back the room with the 2 guys locking a door pick up the sword close to them now cut both the guys in half wait now a door goes down enter the passage you will see the 2 shadow preist making shang tsung young after the cutscene is over defeat the shadow preistwalk to the big soul thing that shang was behind use the fist of ruin to destroy the soul thing now leave that room go back to the room you first started you will see another long yellow light point to the the hiden door now after the cutscene is over the wall folds leading to baraka enter the room now you must fight baraka good luck

dude i suck at writing long messages so heres a guide
Soul Tombs
Follow the path and then go inside that castle.
When you go inside, save your progress. After, break the vases for
some exp and health and then kill the Tartakas. There are two paths
you can go to, a red one and a green one. Lets take the red one.
Now, kill the enemys. There are two more paths. Lets go with the
stairway. When you go up it, kill the Tartakas and then use the wall
climb abilty on the skulls in the wall. Follow the path until you see
another exit. Enter it to go to the next area. You will see a path
with moving spikes. Jump over then and then when you go to the end,
pull the lever to open the left path that was previously closed. It'll
have to smash the guard for it close. Now, go down the path and go to
the gate that was previously closed. Pull another lever and then when
you smash the guard, go through the gate. Now, there will be another
path with moving spikes. Jump over them and then break the vases for
some health and then pull the lever. When you smash the guard, go down
the spike path, go left, head down the first moving spike path you
went to, go left, go though the gate, jump over another moving spike
path, and go left and enter to the next area. You'll have to defeat a
hell lot of Tartakas. The hooks on the ceiling is a death trap. Use it
if you want to. Use a multality or brutality to take care of them
easily. After killing them, follow the path to the next area. In this
area, there is spikes on the ceiling. There is a lot of enemys so I
advise you to take advantage of it. You will see 3 gold plate stacked
on each other. Test your might to break them and then go back track to
the area where you were fighting the corpses. Go left to the area you
haven't entered yet. You can fight the enemies if you want to. Follow
the path and then you'll met the boss, the Orochi Hellbeast.
This beast can be an annoyance because he can eat dead foes for
health. Kill the 3 Tartakas and then focus on killing him. The easiest
way to kill him is to use a brutality on the Tartakas and then hit the
Hellbeast with the brutality also. Now, go to the main room where the
save statue was. Save your progress and then head to the green room.
There is spikes on the ceiling. Use it to your advantage. You'll have
to kill a wave of them so if you're lazy like me, uppercut then to the
spikes. After all of this, the gate will open. Enter it to go to the
next area. Defeat the Tartakas if you want. Head to the right and
enter the next area. Jump on the platforms and watch out for flyng
rocks, skull heads, and shadow priests. Defeat the enemies if you
want. When you get to the other side, enter the next area. There will
be an overhead fan. Uppercut the enemy on it and then go to the next
area. Uppercut one of the Tartakas to the spikes that the small
cutscene showed you. Jump on it to go to the top balcony and then
follow the path to the balcony on the room with the overhead fan.
Follow the path to the broken stair and then jump down. After you jump
down, uppercut the enemies to the fan. When you uppercut all of them
to the fan, jump to the new platform and go to the top of the balcony.
Break the vases and then follow the path and you'll see this button on
the ground. Step on it and then you'll see a sword falling from a
statue from the previous room. Go down the room and then back track to
the first room of the green area. Pick up the sword and slice the
bodies and head into the room. You'll be in a room full of souls. Jump
by the big green thing and then use the fist of ruin ability while
jumping. After a couple of tries doing so, the green thing will
disappear. Defeat the enemies if you want and then go to the main room
where you save. When you go there, a stairway will open up. Save your
progress and then go inside. You'll now face Baraka.
Beat up Baraka and watch out for his projectile. About half way
through the battle, Baraka will start throwing monks that are on fire
to you. Use your projectile to put them out of their misery. When you
kill the monks, beat up Baraka. After a couple attack, he'll go on the
other side. Use your projectile on him and then after a couple hits,
Baraka will come back to your side and this is where the swords come
into play and this will be a little tricky. To kill Baraka, you have
to impale him (R2) with both swords. Hit him with a sword and then
after a couple hits, you'll have a clash with him. You'll have to test
your might on the clash. After you have done so, impale him. Do this
with both swords and then finish him. After you kill him, a wall will
summon. You can't get up it yet so go in the portal to the Wu-Shi
Academy.

oh and heres where smoke is:
You will find Smoke hidden within the Living Forest. Make your way to the area with four Clay Soldiers guarding an obstructed doorway next to a large river. Use your Fist of Ruin ability to break down their defences, then throw one into the doorway to unblock your path. Enter the new area to find Smoke.
heres his missions:
Smoke Mission 1: Break down walls to find the hidden Fatality.
Head over to the Soul Tombs and enter the doorway highlighted by a glowing green icon. Throw a Tarkatan warrior into the different segments of the back wall, causing them to crumble.
When all segments have been broken, return to Smoke in the Living Forest for a reward of 500 experience points.
Smoke Mission 2: Destroy evil barriers to find the Warrior Shrine.
Return to the Wu Shi Academy and backtrack to the beginning of the area where the pathway divides into two. Take the left path and jump over the pit of spikes. Smash the statue blocking your path using your Fist of Ruin ability, then continue through the archway. When you emerge in a new area, head over to the wooden bridge nearby to complete the mission.
Return to Smoke for a reward of 700 experience points.
Smoke Mission 3: Perform 3 sacrifices in the torture room.
Go back to the Soul Tombs and enter the main building. A new door with a skull above it opens, allowing you access to the torture room. After entering the new area, continue toward the screen and take notice of three cavities around the room. Press your Throw and Modifier buttons at the same time to mount a Tarkatan, then press your Launch button to throw it in the air. Catch the Tarkatan mid-air then throw it into the chamber and repeat this for all three cavities to complete the mission.
Smoke rewards you 700 experience points for a job well done.
Smoke Mission 4: Find all purple portals and throw an enemy into each one.
Head back to the Portal and throw a Demon Captain into each of the two purple portals. You will find one on the upper level near the portal to the Evil Monastery and the other on the lower level to the left of the giant climbing wall.
Once you have completed this mission, return to Smoke for a reward of 700 experience points.
Smoke Mission 5: Enter this portal and survive in the frozen peaks.
After speaking with Smoke, enter the portal nearby to be transported to The Pit II. A multitude of enemies will swamp you; defeat them or throw them off the bridge until you complete the mission.
Return to the Living Forest and approach Smoke. As a reward he will unlock Mortal Kombat II (PlayStation 2 PAL users will receive 50,000 experience points instead).
