king_Baraka posted:*10,000,000 If you destroy Sdrawde Lhup.* ***************************************** Well I think one part of the explanation refers back to a Reptile clue in MK1 where it says 10,000,000 points if you defeat me and the part kind of goes hand to hand with another Reptile clue "tip eht fo mottob" You just have to unscramble the letters and get something. The letters unscramble to say "Edwards Phul". I assume they had a hand in the MKSM development. ******************** *Ask Ermac for help* ******************** Have no idea what this means. You fight Ermac in this game but I don't think you can ever get him to help you in any way. Probably just some random joke they put in. *********************************** *Baraka is playable in versus mode* *********************************** The statement is self explanatory; you can unlock Baraka in the versus mode in MKSM. ***************************** *Black L R White/R2 L2 R1 L1* ***************************** These 2 represent an Xbox and PS2 exclusive message respectively. I am fairly certain the 2 messages mean the same thing which is why I added them together. Unfortunately I have no idea what it means, if it even means anything at all. **************** *Boss Rush Mode* **************** I seem to recall someone telling me that one of the developers (Ed Boon?) said that Boss Rush Mode was a feature that was taken out of Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks due to time restraints. *************************************** *Breaking objects reveals some secrets* *************************************** The statement is self explanatory and true at the same time. One example I can think of is breaking the skeleton in Goro's lair to reveal a secret. ********************** *Buy the Bicycle Kick* ********************** This message is a hint by the developers to tell the players a good move to purchase with Liu Kang. I say it is a good hint since the Bicycle kick really is a decent move in the game. *************************************** *Can you find Noob? He reveals secrets* *************************************** This is a very curious message. I take it to mean that you will find out about some secrets if you find Noob Saibot. The only time I have encountered Noob Saibot is first entering the Netherealm and no secrets were revealed; furthermore the game has been searched from top to bottom and there is no other Noob Saibot encounters in the game. Its either another joke or a feature pulled from the finished game. ************************************ *Can you see the invisible penguin?* ************************************ This is obviously a joke. Think about it; how can you see something that is invisible. The only time a penguin had any reference in Mortal Kombat was in UMK3/MKT as Scorpion's animality just for a little FYI. ********************************** *Did you break Goro's Chandelier?* ********************************** Well if you didn't you better go do it. This message is a hint on how to get one of the game's secrets. ******************************************* *Did you feed ALL the trees in the forest?* ******************************************* Yeah this message just tells you how to progress through the living forest in case you got stuck obviously. Anyone who actually needed this message as a guide should be shot. **************************************** *Do you know everything the hat can do?* **************************************** One of those vague messages, I can see it meaning that there are lots of hat moves you can use with Kung Lao or there are lots of unofficial tricks you can do with Kung Lao's hat. ****************************** *Find more secrets in the Pit* ****************************** Hey more secrets in the pit. I guess they assumed you would miss at least 1 of the secrets in the Pit stage. *************** *Find Mustapha* *************** Eh don't ask because I don't have the slightest clue to this message. Perhaps this is a joke perhaps not. It could be a name of someone on the development team. ************************************* *Find Quan Chi and all will be known* ************************************* This message I believe refers to the MKSM ending where you see Quan Chi in at the very end, though to put accurately this asks more questions than it let known. Perhaps they took him out and we were supposed to be someone you find that reveals all the secrets to you; your guess is as good as mine. ************************ *Free Princess Melewski* ************************ Pretty much what I said in the previous message applies here. I don't have a clue? ************************* *Have you seen the bunny* ************************* This message obviously refers to 1 of the 2 Kung Lao fatalities that involves his pet bunny. It's a very cute bunny... RUN AWAY! ******************************** *Kabal says thank you very much* ******************************** I take the meaning of this message to mean that Kabal shows gratitude for freeing him in game. *********************** *Kano Transformations.* *********************** Ah yes the infamous Kano transformations quote. In the Mortal Kombat II arcade game one could view an audit statistic called Kano transformations. It was a tactic used by Ed Boon to spark curiosity and encourage gamers to spend more money trying to figure out what it means. ******************************************** *Kung Lao: Back, Forward, Back, ?, Square/X* ******************************************** The developers are being nice and is practically giving away one of Kung Lao's fatalities. This shouldn't be too hard to find if you don't have it already, just use trial and error. **************************** *Listen to Raiden Carefully* **************************** You may not truly get this messages meaning unless you beat the game and know the secret about Raiden during the whole game. It's a plotline element that you need to pay attention to. ***************************************** *Liu Kang: Back, ?, Down, Down, Square/X* ***************************************** Once again the developers are practically giving away a fatality for Liu Kang. Just use trial and error to figure out the one movement. ****************************** *Look up to find some secrets* ****************************** I believe this message means to use your camera analog to look up as well in all directions to find secrets that may not be in plain sight. ************************* *Noob has left the build* ************************* This message obviously doesn't mean anything, though we can guess to its direct meaning. Maybe it just means Boon has left the building, your guess is as good as mine. ********************************** *Only Smoke knows how to play MK2* ********************************** This message is very obvious, since you have to complete the Smoke missions in the game to unlock the Mortal Kombat 2 arcade game. *************************** *Shaolin Monks are helpful* *************************** Yeah I don't get this message at all. The only Shaolin Monks I see in this game are on fire or fighting tarkatan warriors in the background, they don't seem all that helpful to me, perhaps I am missing the meaning of this message though. ************************ *Sheeva. Sheeva! SHEEVA* ************************ Well if you have your mind in the gutter you can kind of make up a meaning for this message though the thought can be a little disturbing. In case you didn't know Sheeva is a female shokan warrior that made a debut in MK3 and never saw the light of day in any other MK game outside the MK3 game and its upgrades. Also to go further in case you didn't know the shokan is Goro's species; if you don't know who Goro is you should leave now and never play Mortal Kombat again. ******************************* *Smoke will reveal much to you* ******************************* Well in MKSM Smoke doesn't reveal anything other than the Smoke missions and eventually to unlock the MK2 arcade game. I guess you can say that's much if you want. ********************************* *Some secrets are in versus mode* ********************************* I believe this message refers to the fact that some of the secrets you unlock are enjoyed in versus mode such as extra backgrounds in and extra characters to fight with. ************************************* *Sometimes your enemy is your friend* ************************************* The only time I found this message to be true is Sub-Zero where he is an enemy at first and becomes a friend after the battle. So I assume that this is what the message refers to. **************************************** *Some trees are more useful than others* **************************************** Talking about a message that states the obvious, I hope everyone found out there trees that can eat and pummel your opponents in the living forest. ********************* *Sonya can be freed!* ********************* Another obvious message statement, it refers to you helping free Sonya at the end of the game. *********************************************** *Sub-Zero Multality: Up, Up, ?, Up, Triangle/Y* *********************************************** Yet again another fatality giveaway by the developers; this time it is Sub- Zero's Multality they are telling you; once again use trial and error. ******************* *Tell your friends* ******************* This message most likely is just a way for developers trying to tell you to tell your friends to buy the game. ************************************ *Tell your friends- The second time* ************************************ Well if your friends didn't get the message the first time perhaps they will the second time; it's all about persistence. ***************************************** *There is no knowledge that is not power* ***************************************** Ah yes THE MK3 quote that everyone should be familiar with; assuming you have played MK3 that is. It means just what it says I suppose; everything you know benefits you somehow. ******************* *Use Sonya's Slide* ******************* Yeah I am giving a big WTF on this one. Sonya doesn't have a slide and never did by my memory. Plus she isn't even playable in this game. Perhaps the developers want us to think she is playable; OMG perhaps she IS playable... nah. **************** *Use the spikes* **************** A message that suggests you do something such as using the spikes I suppose. There are many places one can use spikes; pits, walls, ceilings, chains, statues, hell choose your pick. ********************** *Use the torpedo move* ********************** Well Kung Lao has a torpedo move and the message says use the torpedo move so follow directions and use the friggin torpedo move; ok so you don't really have to. *************************** *Wall run in the wasteland* *************************** Well in the wastelands there is one part of the level where Sub-Zero freezes the wall and you have to wall run across it. I guess if you didn't figure that part out this message is for you. ******************************** *What will the catapults reveal* ******************************** Secrets and dead tarkatan warriors; man isn't that pathetic I just answered a question the message asked. Yes this message hints that catapults do indeed reveal things. ************************** *Where did Noob come from* ************************** This message probably hints that Noob Saibot's true identity can be found out. I won't tell but I do know where Noob came from. *************** *Where is Kano* *************** A message that I take means to keep your eyes out for Kano. If that is what it means then the message is accurate since you can find Kano in this game. ********************************** *Where is Kenshi? Why is he blind* ********************************** Another message that kind of encourages you to go and find the answer to the questions; yes these questions aren't too hard to answer. **************************** *Which way to the Dead Pool* **************************** I don't know exactly what this message means but yes the Dead Pool is in this game... it's that way. ********************** *Who else is playable* ********************** The message strongly hints that there are other playable characters in both the story and versus mode games. ******************************** *Who will win? Stryker or Cyrax* ******************************** This message is just a fan based question. Just making you think who you like better and therefore who you would choose would win in a fight. ************************ *Why is Liu Kang hungry* ************************ I am fairly certain that this message just refers to Liu Kang's dragon fatality where he eats his opponent. There really is no meaning to it. ********************** *You need to help Jax* ********************** This message refers to you needing to help Jax defeat Kano to be able to free Sonya. *************************************** *You will need a big weapon at the end* *************************************** This message refers to the whole foundry level where your whole goal is to forge a big weapon and destroy 2 crystals to enter a door where you can face your final bosses.
