What is the "zero" before some of the names for? Does it mean that it doesn't work?

hey can someone help me, i got ARmax and i used the codes from the link. the codes are accepted and when i go to play the game it wont let me select a character, ex i did the Cage code and it shows his name and it says his name when i press x but the higlight thing is still flashing. if anyone knows what i did wrong please tell me.....

first you enter the master code and your character mod cage p1 for example then you turn on the code insert the disk go to story mode and chose liu kang then when done loading you will see johny cage in the name bar and you will see him on the screen. it will not say johny cage when you pick liu kang, also make shure it is the us armax and the us game disk.

The codes works but when I load a game or start a new game the loading screen freezes and doesn't start. I don't know what's going on...

he just tolled us that new codes were updated like Shao Kahn, Jade, Shang Tsung, Noob siabot, smoke and Orochi Hellbeast.
The problem is that the Shao kahn code, it works but when a load a game, the loading screen freezes right at the end when the red bar goes full. All the other codes works and doesn't freeze. So i don't know what's going on, if you know what the problem is please help.
