Does anyone know a place in Chicago, IL. where they still have The Grid arcade game available for play? I've never played this and been dying to get my hands on it for years.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I dont know where in Chicago has one except the game room inside Midway.
But Im really glad to see another GRID fan. We need to start a potition, for Midway to release "the grid" for Playstation Network and Xbox 360 live.
It was going to be released on xbox long time agao but never happened, the MK-Team was to busy working on MKDA.
Not only was it alot of fun and used the same Engine has MK4, but you could be sub-zero, scorpion and noob saibot.
Would be awesome if they made "the grid 2" using the Unreal 3 engine and had the old grid characters and alot of the popular MK characters.

I alwats wanted to play it, but never got the chance. It amazes me that Midway has never released this in a compiliation of old school titles or something.

I'd rather give birth to a chair than see an MK vs. DC crossover game. Goodbye, it's been fun. I'm leaving for good. Take care, everyone.

It's been some time since I've been there but Dennis' Place for Games on Belmont (Just west of the L station) had a couple of Grid machines.

It's sorta like Smash TV. Where as you compete on a futuristic game show in a death match against other players.
Grid had a pretty unique control scheme for it's time too. A full hand joystick moved you forward, back, strafed left to right and had all your firing buttons. A track ball controlled the direction you were looking.
It had a bunch of interesting enough characters, each with their own super move. It also had Scorpion, Sub-Zero, & Noob as unlockable characters.

What about Stryker?
EDIT: Hey salsashark, did you get your username from the film Clerks? That's like my all time favorite comedy.
