acually,i start with the easiest difficulty ever.
but after some more playing,i change it to higher difficulty untill i am able to beat the highest difficulty.
i have finished a lot of games untill now(without cheat codes).

Hey look, Deathgrind, a name I haven't seen here in a while.
Anyway, I generally play through on whatever the "medium" difficulty is then max it out. This way it's not so easy that it's boring or so hard that you want to break your controller. And after one play through you have a good idea of what to expect so when you play on hard there's slight edge to be had.

Before I had always said "Easy when you first start and then settle at medium as you go along" but recently I have been playing a lot of "Hard" and "Max" mode to boost my skill.

In the case of Midway Arcade Treasures 2, I keep the settings on the default settings. They represent the factory defaults present in the original hardware.

I usually play on normal, but sometimes when I feel the game is cheating I instead play on Easy. If a game's hard difficulty is hard but not cheap I play on that setting.
I hate when games are made harder by just stripping you of ammo and making the enemies super powerfull. For me to play on hard, the game has to be hard in a creative way, and fully playable as long as you adjust your style of gaming.
Don't know if I'm making any sense, but anyways...
