am truly offended. Basically the idea of Liu Kang, who famously appeared in every Mortal Kombat game until Deadly
Alliance, was copied by the greatest Martial Art Expert himself, Bruce Lee. Jun Fan is the name of the fighting
style Liu Kang does and it was also Bruce Lee's original
name during his birth, but the orginal name of the
that style is now known as Jeet Kune Do.
Enter The Dragon also took place in a tournament on a
island in which Bruce tries to get revenge on an Evil Emperor along with many other characters who tried to stop him, same way with the Mortal Kombat story. And I am
speaking of the game, not the movie
My point? Without Bruce Lee, Mortal Kombat would've went
nowhere.
You can still see the icons of Bruce Lee. He's everywhere
in many popular fighting games!

Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris fought in the film Liu Kang Master mentioned. If memory serves, it was a scene in the Roman Colusseum.

And let's not forget that Bruce Lee made Hong Kong martial arts movies popular in the United States. So, in a way, there would be no Mortal Kombat if there was no Bruce Lee.

That's probably the first and only time that's ever happened I'm sure.  If it was a real fight though, it'd be hard as hell to pick a winner. Probably the mother of all martial arts stalemates I'd say, with neither Bruce or Chuck able to best the other.

I miss that movie, and I'm not taking about Ultimate Showdown...
This to date is still one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen in one movie. Yes, Chuck Norris is good... but Bruce Lee will always be better.
As for this topics significance, as stated in the first post, without Bruce Lee, some of the more memorable fighting characters, including Liu Kang, would not have even been thought up. This topic isn't just relevant to Midway, it's relative to nearly half a dozen other game companies with characters based off of one man.
Short form: Bruce Lee rules, without him Liu Kang would never have been in Mortal Kombat.
