ok i know hitz pro was not the biggest hit of a game, but when it comes down to a classic arcade style hockey game and a great time HITZ 2003 KICKS so much @SS. for the love of god can you please find it in your heart, MIDWAY, to bring back hitz leave the game play exactly the same as the 2003 version just update the graphics for the nex gen systems as well as ps2 and maybe a couple extras but leave everything almost exactly the same especially the fighting and hit intesity. please bring it back i think it could be a big seller.

I totally agree with you!
First, it was Blades Of Steel...
then it was EA's NHL '92...
then it was Open Ice...
now NHL Hitz 20-02 is my favorite hockey game!
I don't think any other hockey game will top the Hitz series!

No, he was just saying that BoS was his first favorite hockey game. It was made by Konami I believe.

I like this topic as I'm of course a huge hockey fan. And I agree with you smclaffe that Midway should bring back NHL Hitz as there hasn't been one since 2003 with updated graphics for the next-gen, but especially the Sony PS2 while games are still made for this system.
I personally thinks it's dumb that both EA and 2K Sports only focus on the next-gen consoles for their respective sports games and not put everything from those systems in the Sony PS2 versions of NHL 08 and NHL 2K8 as well, instead of rehashes with an updated roster.
But my personal favourite hockey game is still (Despite some graphic problems with player faces and editing them until they're right. And some regular player's best hand whether they're on the current roster or historic teams) glitches, and removing face guards for most goalenders that don't use them is ESPN NHL 2K5.

WOW I JUST posted a topic about the EXACT SAME THING!!! Yeah I totally agree, they need to dust it off and toss on a few upgrades and feed it to the streets for sure. That game was by far the most exciting hockey game to play.
