I stated that it's possibly an early production ("early days") screenshot but, afaik, nothing's been confirmed by Midway as to nature of these shots.
For all we know this could be the final game or hopefully not.
But as I said before why on Earth would any company in there right mind release such terrible screenshots to the public? At least attach a disclaimer or press release that the game is far from finished!
I really hope that there is some kind of offical follow up to this very poor show from Midway.

I don't base my liking of games on the graphics...It's all about the gameplay. I prefer old SNES and N64 games over most newer 360 and PS3 games. It's just about the fun of the game. How can you let looks take the fun out of it?
Now, I don't know how this Cruis'n game will play like, but I do know that I loved the previous games on N64/arcade/PS and this will probably be at least better than those which would be fine for me.

They wouldnt release a game like that. If it passes their quality control, it surely wouldnt pass nitnedoes.
Who knows though, maybe its the very first "NEW" vitrual console game.
By the way, I loved Cruisn USA when it came out.
Reviews sites bashed it, but I got really into it.

Look. I know lots of you are going by the mantra 'Graphics don't matter' and saying you're going to buy this game anyway. Please don't. I mean, seriously, if you support this kind of quick cash in, companies WILL ONLY DO IT MORE to the point where the average Wii game looks no better than whats above.
I'm seriously disappointed in Midway. It wouldn't be so bad if the final product was at least better looking, but nope, the trailer on their website looks WORSE.
I'm also disappointed in any tools who would buy this for more than $10. This is crap, nothing else. I don't care what you say about the gameplay, because when no effort is put into making a game presentable the gameplay becomes a non-issue because I ain't playing it!
I've played Excite Truck. The graphics were terrible, but the gameplay was very, very nice.
This, however, is inexcusable. Not only are the graphics capable of being run on hardware from TWO CONSOLE GENERATIONS AGO (thats ten years folks) but in looking at the trailer, it doesn't look like any work went into the controls, either. The stunts are laughable, the animation is cookie cutter, and the turning doesn't look smooth at all.
Pathetic.
