I know, right Bread? Mean's comment reminds me of this review of Bioshock. Read the comments below the review for many lulz. 
Anyway, I'll reserve judgment of Cruis'n until I play it. If it has antiquated graphics but is a blast to play it'll still be a good game. I enjoy Pac-Man and all it is is a yellow circle chomping white dots.

Those images were from an early build of the game. Also lets remember this is an arcade racing game, not a sim

I've joined the forum here at Midway specifically to comment on this thread. I've been seeing the screens for Cruis'n over the last day or two around various sites and I just had to come here and express my shock.
I have been playing games for 28 years and in all that time I've never seen anything that is as truly inexcusable as this from such a large mainstream developer. Anybody who uses the line "it's gameplay not graphics that matter" to try to delude themselves that this game has had an acceptable amount of effort expended by the responsible team is simply incorrect.
There's obviously a reason why so many gaming sites, blogs and forums are disgusted with Midway over this and I sincerely hope that the project is canceled. If not, and Midway truly can't program a game that looks as good as the N64 game of ten years ago I hope Nintendo revoke their license to publish Wii titles.

I'm basing it off of the previous games and the screenshots of it where it takes all your 360 fanboy comments about graphics and **** on them.

I'm sorry but that really is no excuse. Even if this game was pre-alpha then it should have most of the games graphic engine in-place as well as near final models, the majority of texture work and post processing already finished. Besides which the screenshots released were publicity shots so obviously someone at Midway feels they are reflective of the quality of the final build.

I also take issue with the comment about Pac-man. Since the game is as old as I am I really don't think it's a sensible comparison. Obviously Namco understand this and don't re-release Pac-man with the same graphics as nearly thirty years ago however fun it may be because they understand that whilst graphics may not be the most important thing in the world, to simply not try and put out any old crap is insulting.
Again I say Midway ought to be ashamed for trying to foist such a poor effort onto Wii owners and fans of the Cruis'n series such as myself, and the Moderators here shouldn't be trying to defend their reprehensible efforts as it makes them look even less professional.

If your going to release screens at least wait until the game is at least looking half decent.
At the momet it looks like a mobile phone game. I've seen better looking games on the PS1.
