According to IGN.com, Midway signed a exclusive videogame deal with TNA (like THQ with WWE), and the first game appeared for PS2 & Xbox. Thanks Midway

This isn't the first time Midway has done a wrestling game, by the way.
If you remember ten years ago, Midway made a wrestling game back when the WWE was still the WWF. That game was Wrestlemania, and it was released at arcades, and later ported to Genesis, SNES, and PlayStation. I thought it was cool back then, but I don't know what I think of that game now, as I haven't watched wrestling in six years.

It was a good game for it's time. Wouldn't be upto much now. Let's hope this game is good. TNA is a good company that are becoming very big now.

I am hoping that Midway makes a great video game for TNA. TNA is a up and coming wrestling company and believe it or not this could help make or break TNA at taking that final step to be taken seriously by wrestling fans. What I am praying that they don't do is make the game mortal kombat inside a wrestling ring like they did with WrestleMania: The Arcade Game. It is very important that the game plays very realistic and that they remember that gameplay should come before visuals on the overall scale of importants. Just to let you know I am not completely negative about the situation, I have the utmost faith in Midway to publish this game and I'm sure that the wrestlers helping out with the game will have a lot of input as to what the grappling system should be and how the game should play. I would like to wish Midway the best of luck with this project as the entire TNA Fan Community will be watching with deep anticipation.

REALISM IS THE KEY but you guys do get to have fun with the great gimmick matches...House of Fun match (Raven), Monsters Ball (Abyss), Ultimate X (X Division), Six Sides of Steel...I cant wait for this game...I have faith in Midway to deliver a great game...
Incedently, half of the old MK team have already made a wrestling game...WM21 which in my opinion sucked so here is the other half of the old MK team's turn to make a great wrestling game.
Only advice is to study WWF No Mercy and to have it online...with that in mind this game could be a "FLAWLESS VICTORY".

Awesome. I've waited for about 1 1/2 years for this news since the first rumors appeared. I hope you will do well, whichever studio gets to work on it and make the best possible game. Just don't try any weird experiments. No Backyard Wrestling and no TNA-MK. Play the japanease Games(like King of Colloseum or Fire Pro Wrestling from Spike and WWF No Mercy/Virtual Pro Wrestling from Aki[way better than Yuke's, the developer of the Smackdown-Series) and try to mix that realistic Gameplay with the feel of TNA, the speed, the highspots and all the stuff.
Btw. when can we expect the first "real" news?

I for one am not expecting much from this TNA game, the reason is that right when TNA comes out the WWe will unleash there Smackdown VS Raw 2006 title and blow them out of the water.
If and when they make there TNA game im not expecting much realism, with TNA's X-Division Midway will most likely stick to doing what they do best, make wacky physics and weird moves. Now that may not be a bad thing, but when I play a wrestling game and all of my friends play a wrestling game we want Realism we don’t want people flying 30 feet in the air to deliver a earth shattering elbow drop. But that’s just me.

Yea that is true but that is what your supposed to think if a game features a bunch of rappers and acters that fight each other then theres no problem that its un realistic. But when your doing a TNA Impact wreslting game for the first time then you need to do it right. Make it realistic and not cheesy. Many fans want a game that they can play with there friends and not have to worry about them landing a flaming elbow drop that ends the match in 3 seconds. In def jam if you could get hold of a lead pipe or anything thats hard you could win almost instantly. Now thats definatly not fun, if they make a TNA game realistic then they can see how it sells, Now if it sells very sucessfully then they can make a spinoff like TNA Unleashed or TNA Xtream something like that, that features high flying moves and bone shatering 50 feet suplexes. Every game dosent have to be xtream for someone to injoy it, sometime you can take it overboard.

It used to be. Back in 2003 TNA (or NWA:TNA as it used to be known) They had a habbit of low-budget shows.
Now they've signed MANY great production talents and it's very great. TNA is actually owned by Panda Energy (which is worth over 3 billion dollars. 2.2 Billion more than the WWE).

Personally, I'm glad Midway went with TNA over any other company. WWE really sucks big time now.
I'm not sure how many people here actually watch TNA, but it's much better than the WWE. I believe you got the idea that TNA is low budget due to the building they wrestle in. That's actually at Universal Studios.
Everybody knows that this game probably won't be as good as Smackdown vs. Raw, but this is only Midways first attempt at a wrestling game in the past decade.

I'ma put together a wishlist for this game over the weekend and send it to the developers and producers.Midway is just the publisher right ?!? I don't want to send it to them if they don't have anything to do with that part of putting the game together.Any of you have any ideas you want to add to the wishlist ?
