Has anyone here mentioned that when you walk into the Komidogu, he's stunned temporarily? This gives you a bit of time to basically have a free combo or attack on the guy. Each time you walk into a Komidogu, he's stunned.

but you can beat him easy with shujinko, just use bicycle kick

I think that Scorpion is not as fast as he was in MK:DA, in MK:D I can hardly use Scorpion because his Hapikdo moves are much slower than they were in MK:DA. I like Liu Kang a lot, you can use him on any level and he is fast enough.
Scary with all those cuts, LOL

Choose a character with a long combo that you can memorize. When the match starts, keep juping backwards until you reach the end of the stage. Now sidestep either up or down until you get a Kamidogu, and Onaga will be stunned. Then do your combo quickly. then continue to sidestep near the edge untill you reach the next Kamidogu.
I would suggest using three Kamidogu per round, considering there are three, but there are some characters in which you can get away with two per round. This technique is kinda cheap, and you have the constant risk of being kicked into the deathtrap, but I find it most effective ^_^.
Also with Kira, do that combo with her daggers in which she attacks in a circle twice (horribe description). It was like Kano's combo called Ear to Ear. Do it non-stop without ever stopping, and you'll eventually win.

I find it's handy to learn a combo in each fighting style, then do a combination of regular combos and style branching combos constantly, but build your reflexes to block should he decide to attack. While he's attacking, find the fine line between being too eager to attack and waiting too long on the block button and you'll get him.
If you need further help, run into the Kamidogu on the outside of the arena to stun him momentarily.

One easy thing to do if you are liu kang you can keep throwing fireballs or keep hitting him with bicycle kicks (you must get the kamidogu's to weaken him)...
