I wasn't sure either but yeah, it is a real fighting style.

Oh and if they decide to bring back fighting styles then I would also like "Pi Qua Quan", it's such an interesting style.

Yes Hapkido is a real fighting style, it's funny coz most people actually think that all the "fighting styles" they use in MK are false and fake, but no they are not, they are 100% real fighting styles, some of us that do Martial Arts should know this.

I think that's because most of us didn't know there was so many fighting styles out there, I didn't. We have to give the MK creators credit for al the researches they did for this.

Yes they do deserve a lot of credit for that and they probably do have a Martial Arts expert or 2, to help out with the teachings to the actors and their characters.

Yes these arts do exist, but I would not say they are all portrayed accuratly. That is what I want when it comes to MA in MK, accurate representation of the fighting arts I don't care what is used.

They did research but the martial arts didn't look anything like they should have!

Aikido was two judo throws (O soto Gari and Tomoe Nage) with random strikes that don't fit Aikido,Judo was more like wrestling with also random strikes and Hapkido should actually be AikiJujutsu with some fancy Tae Kwon Do kicks and that style didn't include a single grab or anything off Aiki Jiu Jitsu..Sambo..Don't let me start lol..

Kung Fu (incl. Wing Chun) and Jeet Kune Do should be used.

Kung Fu is not a style or system,it simply signifies any martial art that is chinese..It could be Shuai Jiao which looks a lot like Judo or San Shou which is very similar to Muay Thai..

Yeah, they're real fighting styles, but in MKA they were a lil bit messed up. I've read somewhere, that Mileena's Ying Yeugn and Kira's Yuan Yang are the same fighting styles. And in MKA they have different moves and stances. It can be, because there were too many styles in MKA...
BTW: to answer the original question: Tae Kwon Do for the kicks and I'd love to see Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, Bagua Zhang, Wing Chun and Tai Chi Quan, too! happy

It's Ninjutsu... Not Ninjitsu as the MK devs seem to spell it, that really pissed me off.

All I know is that if they're going to use real martial arts, they should make a decent effort to try and make them look authentic.

I would like it if they were to use Kyokushin Karate, Tae Kwon Do, and maybe some form of internal martial arts.
