Marvel Characters, usually are either Science or Tech, and are usually pretty far out there (getting bit by a radioactive spider, which on itself is far from believable, would probably just give you cancer).
based on what the focus of the game is, Marvel is not fit to be in the game.
thats absolutely not true
marvel is way more realistic
almost everyone from dc is an alien or from a lost world
or got there powers from aliens or sumthin
marvel has better characters, stories and powers
this should still be hot, but marvel wouldve been a lot better
perhaps, but in context, they are NATURALLY strong. there is no outside influence that gave them their superpowers, they just are.
you have a guy bitten by a radioactive spider.
a guy with metal all around his bones.
a man who was suscepted to gamma radiation and needs to see a therapist
a guy who who drank a super-serum to become a military weapon
a guy who built the most advanced mech-suit the world has ever seen, by himself.
a woman who can somehow control the barromectic pressure to affect the weather in an instant...
and thats just the AVENGERS.

the fatalities are still in this game, just with a new wrapper quit B1tchin over the wrapper and have some candy.

There is no written proof of half of what is being said, let alone hard evidence to even suggest that a Marvel game would include fatalities seeing as Marvel fighting game licenses are now tied up with EA Chicago, which has gone belly up. Funny how many people stick to that line of approach eh?
Okay, first off, NO, Marvel vs MK would be in the same boat as MK vs DCU finds itself in, not wanting horrible things to happen to their characters, DC Comics has tied Midway's hands on that one, the same way Disney watches over Square-Enix with the Kingdom Hearts titles. No one seems to complain that we don't see Minie Mouse bite it like Aeris did in FFVII, so why all the fuss here?
Further more, having read through both comics for years, DC is by far the more MATURE and GRAPHIC of the two. I don't care what you will say in reply to this, but in my opinion, and I am willing to say Madcap as well as others would back me on this, that nothing Marvel has can even compare to the gore found in DC's Spectre comics, or even match the graphic level of his methods of "punishment". If you don't believe me, read a few issues and see for yourself.

agree with you 100%. I know alot of the marvel fanboys like to cite comics such as Wolverine, Hell Rider (or whatever the F*ck his name is), and the Punisher. they are exceptions more than the rules, and often times they are equally corny and unbelievable as a comic like Spidey, but try to do so while being "badass". seriously, i saw a Hell-Rider, whatever, comic, involving him fighting a bunch of "demonic" nurses... that is neither badass, nor is it dark nor bloody. that is corny, that is humor, and above all, that is stupid.

Oh definitely. Good point, and remember that Marvel is geared more towards younger audiences as anyone can see with their marketing campaigns and merchandising (I think this point is highlighted by Itsy-Bitsy Sipder-Man and the Marvel Superhero Squad toys). With this track record, it makes even less sense that MK would team up for a crossover with Marvel then it does for DC to do the same. You will have the fan boys arguing this, but in all honesty, it is truly an uphill battle for them with this evidence leveled against what they are saying. If they don't want to believe me, fine, but I still want them to pick up a Spectre comic and take a look at true mature comic content.

Marvel would be good, though I prefer DC. However, as a match up...
Thor: God of Thunder, Lightning, and Rain. Protector of Midgard(Earth).
Vs.
Raiden: God of Thunder and Lightning. Protector of Earthrealm.

dude reason spiderman is getting popular is due to the movies. Where as Batman was suffering up until batman begins of bad movie quality. Just wait a few years in the future when batman has 3 successive cool films he'll be back as king

I honestly suspect that people who suggest DC has very little violence have not actually read a DC comic in 15 years.

If this game sells, Maybe Midway will do the Marvel vs DC. After all, Marvel did just end its relationship with EA. Both Marvel and DC know that video games are the new media, as opposed to comic books. All three, Marvel, DC, and Midway, will go wherever the money is. This may be a litmus test for such business ventures. Who knows?

I would say the last 20 or more years. I think watching Speedy become a heroine addict years ago, and the Death of Barry Allen really showed years ago that DC Comics was more mature then Marvel, and once again, Marvel is well known for "weather vaning" their comics and targeting younger audiences, proof of this is the Death of Captain America in an attempt to draw upon anti-Americanism and the Marvel Super Hero Squad toys which are for ages 3+. On top of that, Marvel character covered training pants and children's underwear? You wouldn't see the Spectre on baby bottles, or Darkseid plastered on a child's wall. Geez...

No..Marvel allows more violence in their stuff than DC..
I've seen the Joker break his own neck in Dark Knight Returns.
I've seen Superman vomit up blood in Superman: Doomsday.
I've seen Superboy-Prime punch Pantha's head off and slaughter hundreds of Green Lanterns in Infinite Crisis.
I've seen Dr. Light rape Sue Dibney in Identity Crisis.
I've seen Black Adam rip Terra Man in half in 52.
I've seen Major Force stuff Kyle Rayner's girlfriend into a refrigerator in Green Lantern #54.
Really? Marvel allows more violence? Maybe we all get to see Wolverine pose with bloody claws but I think comics in general are more violent than ever.

Great examples, and I wouldn't put too much attention on the Darkseid Burger King toy, over the years, we have seen various toys of this nature for children, some to movies they weren't old enough to see.
