Well anyway I find the older MK games far more entertaining than the recent ones. Basicly I stopped Buying anymore games when they went 3D. I bet more of you feel the same way?
I am a huge MK fan. I love these games, have played them frequently since I was a kid. Ever since 1993 I've considered myself a true MK fan! I loved the level of brutality aswell as the simpleness of Mortal Kombat combined, a trait completely faded by now. A trait that made MK!
I Guess no more MK games will ever be developed in 2D again.... Well I can live with that, I just don't see myself spending money on any new releases in that case.
Unless:.......
They made a re-release of Mortal Kombat 1 - Trilogy (Including UMK3). All with online play enabled. This would be totally doable, and would earn them quite a few bucks.
Well I would wouldn't mind seeing that, anyone else?

I don,t think they will do 2d game. everything is in 3d now.
If they could do great gamplay for once MK would be a better game and not somewhat of a joke when we looked at Tekken , Virtual Fighter and DOA.

But still it wouldn't be a hassle to release MK1 - Trilogy on one disk. And I bet it would sell really nice..
Also if it would be possible to play online in the old games,,, that would just seal the deal!
I wouldn't mind paying full retail price for a release of the old games, it would be awesome to play Trilogy online on the PS3. Or MK1 for that matter.

Yes, Ive been screaming this for years. I would pay full retail price plus some for these games. I would like all MK1-MK Gold games on a disk and playable online, or have them for download on ps3 online.
Ive been playing MK2 online non stop, I play it over my arcade cabinets even. Why? B/c its Online, nothing funner than getting to play people around the word, fighting against all the different styles of play. Its been over a year now for mk2 online. And xbox 360 has had UMK3 online for that long, so I think its time for atleast another mk klassic to be released. It would be easy for them to swap games. UMK3 for ps3 online and MK2 for xbox 360 live.
But like you where saying release a disk called Mortal Kombat Klassics, and have MK1 (arcade version), MK2 (arcade version), MK3 (arcade version), UMK3 (arcade version), MK Trilogy (PC version and N64 version if they want), MK4 (arcade version) and MK Gold (sega dreamcast version). Id pay any price for that list.
I would also like to see "the grid" arcade for ps3 online.
What I dont understand is why haven't they done this, it would be easy to do and cost them next to nothing and would make them good money.
Oh and if anyone wants to play me on MK2 ps3 online look for Korn-O.

Oh and yes MK should make another 2D game, they could start be completeing MK Trilogy.
I think they should make a MK game that is 2.5D. Use realistic sprints and use 3D backgrounds. Kinda like MK4 but now they can use realistic graphics. No MK game is ever going to be as good without the klassic gameplay like MK1-MK4 was.
Looks at Street Fighter, there new one coming out is 3d but plays like the 2d games, basicly just using a refresh look and realism.

well , since they put them on Xboxlive and PS3 online I don't see the point of making a ps3 blueray for that. Maybe when MK will be 15 or 20 year old like Mega Man collection.
I still think , MK2 and MK3 ( not ultimate and Trilogy ) where the best in serie but 3D game open so much possibilities and if they want to compete again other giant fighting serie they should conitnue in 3D. Since Midway buy MK , it is less and less good , they just need to create some very dark and violent game with caracter that don,t look like cartoon.

And they can have a compilation game that has all the 2D characters from their MK, MKII, and MK3-Trilogy forms, with all the levels. Plus for added fun they could throw in some new levels, a few new characters, and a new mode or two, like team battle, tournament, mini games with the characters and the loser gets fatalitied until there is one winner.
