This topic is about old fatalities that got the T rated stamp.
Cyborg Smoke
Opens up he chest capsule to get ready for the Earth Blow-up fatality. Looks at the TV screen, sighs, then starts laying out roses. Walks off with a temper.

Sub-Zero freezes you, and starts to walk over to you, to shatter you and then thinks oh wait...its T rating and just lets you thaw out and fall down. And you look up at sub-zero and say thank you, and sub-zero says not a problem man, where lame now. And helps you up.

Tis a good topic, but weren't MK1-MKTrilogy fatalities in a T rated MK then? I mean here in the UK those MK games were classed as 15, which means only 15 year old's or older people can play it, I assume that a T rated game is the equivalent to a 15 rated game.
Yet those "T" rated fatalities consisted of heads being pulled off! people being torched, stabbed, torso's ripped off, punched off, and the blood was plentiful.
I guess this is because of MK VS DC, and the word that it will be a T rated game. Maybe it's only the DC side that doesn't want their superheroes having their arms ripped off and guts spewed out. Midway probably have to comply to this rule to get this game going.
I am sure if DC let Midway do their master work then they would most defiantly put in some nice finishers, probably not as gruesome as MKDA+ but one's that would not let the game critics moan so much, cause those people are a bunch of wieners.

Fact I:- #1 MK Fighter = Mileena Fact II:- My usename has nothing to do with the actual Red Dragon clan of MK Fact III:- Most favourite MK game ever is Mortal Kombat Deception Fact IV:- #1 Video game = Grand Theft Auto IV

Nope, MK has always had a MA17+ rating with the exception of the original MK. The original wasn't originally rated in the arcades, then recieved a MA13+ on console release, but all present releases of it even have a MA17+ rating.
As for this subject, I think Midway might be considering carrying another fighting game in the future; not to replace MK, but to target a larger audience. So, maybe with a successful release of MKvsDC, we'll get two fighting genre games, one with the MA17+ (MK) & one with the Teen rating. (who knows, maybe a DC only game)

Mk one didn't have any rating but it was too violent so they remove all the copies did another release without blood with somekind of T rating. Nintend and Sega didn't have the same fatality.
E rating = all ages or 8+
T rating = 13+
M rating = 17+
AO rating = 18+
but all of this is just plain stupid because there is no law for not saling or renting a game if you don,t have the appropriate age.

Well in the UK, MK1 - MKTrilogy was given a 15 certificate.
There are 2 types for British games, these one's are the same type used for movies, which some games do get, especially when it's a game like Mortal Kombat or GTA4, they will put a huge 18 certificate on it so that people can see that this is strictly not for kids.
U rating = all ages
PG rating = for the majority of all ages, but as it says, it may contain things that are unsuitable for younger kids, like swear words or some violence.
12 = Do I really need to explain?
15 = ^
18 = ^
XXX rating = Now we all know what type of contents you will find in any movie or game that is rated XXX. Though I don't think there are any game that are XXX. None that I know of anyway, if anyone does please PM me , nah! just joking of course.
it was only until MK4 that is was given an 18 certificate, as it was 3D violence this time.
The other type ratings are just number ratings to, like 11+, 16+, 18+ etc
See us British like to keep things simple, instead of using Letters as ratings, we use the actual age rating, that way, there's no confused people.

Good at least they do their job. At my local EB game a kid of maybe 13 to 15 buy GTA4 like that , he even ask his mom if he can in front of the sale person!!! I really hope some day videogame industry will have the same stupid rating as film and if you don,t have the appropriate age you can't get it... because right now mom's and dad's say videogame are too violent but they don,t look at rating or think it is a joke because it is a videogames and videogames are for kids.

Well Canada and USA share the same videogames rating but not the same for movie ( WTF ??? ). For movies we have the same as you in England. And in top of that we have all game stranslate in French.
