It makes more sense to not be a joke if the game is exclusive to the Wii (i'm not talking about if its the case where an MK vs. DC is released on all 3 platforms) looking at the trouble Midway is in, i wrote a lengthy post on Midway's motives in the 2nd page on this board 'neither midway nor boon can be blamed'

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I'm sure they will not stoop to that level just yet. MK DA was one of the highest selling games in history of the PS2/Xbox generation. With the new systems, I'm sure that Midway games, which I still believe some should be brought back (Killer Instinct/ Primal Rage) are doing well, as Midway has been around a long time, and show no signs of stopping. Boon succeeds because he listens to/reinvents the game the way the majority of the fans want, MK is popular as it is because fans have helped the game along, and have made it the franchise it is today. We've even invented characters like Ermac, and we even made them create Khameleon for the Wii, because we are just a part of the MK universe than the creators. Not in any previous games has the majority of fans have such a control and sway over the video game put out to them. Believe me when I say this: it's a joke, because Boon is renowned for doing these sort of things, just go with the flow, and if in the off chance this becomes canon, then sales will diminish substantially, does Boon want to kill MK? If he does this thing with DC, he will, because the core fanbase will not like it, and it will be like MK Special Forces, a flop that will become a relic in the game's history. Believe me when I say this series still has a lot to go on, without throwing in gags, like an epic storyline, a great cast of characters, and that it's always being reinvented, and reworked that the game will become etched in time as one of the greatest fighting games in history. Now if the arcades still existed, to even seal the deal would be to make limited cabinets to creatain arcades, that would be great.
I'm not saying you're wrong, I just hope you're not right. You seem like someone who's been with the series for a while, or at least you've grown to acknowledge a lot about the series as a whole, and I just want to say that I've written blogs, won tournaments, and dedicated a lot of my gaming to solely this game, and would love to continue my love of this game when I get a PS3. BTW, I've been only wanting a PS3 for this game, GTAIV, Silent Hill 5 and MGS 4, but this is perhaps the game I've been wanting most, since Armageddon was a disappointment, but still a fun game nevertheless. Come on, who didn't find the gokart style amusing?
They need Konquest Mode again, which is another theory that maybe the characters are just part of Konquest Mode, and like I said, they can confirm something doesn't speak for the entire game .
Alas, we'll just have to wait and see how the events unfold. Hopefully you're incorrect, and that it's all just a joke, and God help the series if it's all true

Maybe the MK vs DC game will be just for Wii and the MK8 will be for PS3/X360, or both will come out on all platforms this year ? omg, im so pissed..i want answers!
