and rain was one of those characters.

i just dont think a MK : DC game would be fun.
I know im judging before hand, but IMO it just doesn't sound to great.

I'm a huge fan of both MK and DC, but will it work together? There will have to be compromisies for this game to be good.

At this point i'm still in disbelief. Can't say I'm happy or dissapointed till we get more info. I can't believe this is the road they decided to take.

So far, my impression is 50/50...
If there will be blood and fatalities and there will be atleast 10MK characters and alot of DC characters (together atleast 50 characters) and the story wont be crap, the it will be a fair game...but if not, im gonna be pissed as many others and goodbye good old MK...
Why cant they just remake UMK3 or MKT into next-gen graphics omg ? that would be like the best game ever!

I keep hearing people say, "As long as the story is good, I ain't worried." Allow me to ask this. How in the universe canyou makea a decent story out of this? I mean if DC has had a fighting game franchise with there characters, then I wouldnt be as mad as I am now. How can a decent story be made for this game? A portal opens up and both universes meet? Hope that ain't it.

Ha ha dude that's exactly what the story is. A portal opens up... worlds collide and mk characters and dc characters start throwing punches at each other.
Story's shot so let's hope gameplay is good

A story for crossovers is always hard to connect except when the two or more involved are somewhat related. Aliens vs Predator, two alien species which plagued humans before - not bad. Freddy vs Jason, two horror icons in slasher films - not bad. Marvel vs DC, two comic book companies with superheroes battling it out - makes sense. Not saying anything about the movies/comics just that the idea is fine.
So now what in the blue hell does MK have in relation to DC you might ask? Other than the use of humans and other worldly/realm-like possibilities... nothing.
No matter how this game will play out, the story is jacked. I only hope that for the future of MK, that this game is not the canonical storyline to MKA but rather a "what if" scenario. Otherwise MK is done with, which would be an extreme downer for me.

Tavern you are correct. The other crossovers you mention all have something that ties them together and makes it believable that 2 forces are coming together. This makes almost no sense at all. Dc characters don't even believe in killing.

Hell no. MK vs. Street Fighter might work, but this is just a joke. MK and DC don't belong in the same universe. This damn well better not be the real MK8
